The vast majority of the boxing world is/will give floyd props for fighting shane. Just the out-spoken haters say otherwise.

Shane Mosley is the best possible opponent for floyd at the time being.

I think there are people on the left and right of each topic, particularly with polarizing subjects like Mayweather. The right will always support even if he fights Ricky Hatton rematches for the rest of his life, the left will always hate even if he beats Wladimir Klitschko. It's the middle that you have to impress.

I think the majority of the middle will give him respect but some will point to Mosley's long, extended periods of inactivity and wonder if Mosley was still Mosley that night.

well this site can be pretty ******ed at times. And I was here, I remember how many Hatton fans there used to be. There were a TON of hatton fans. But if you remove the homers, the die hards, it was all floyd.

It all comes down to people don't like floyd mayweather, so people will always criticize him, always downlplay his victories, always have excuses. That's the way it will always be with him because of the persona he's created to the public. It's a two sided sword.

Mayweather is a polarizing figure no doubt there is generally very little middle ground on him. Just taking here for example you basically get forced to pick one way or the other even if trying to keep it real because there is so much dicussion on him even if you actively try to avoid it you still end up talking about him the most by default (on this section anyways).

Some people will love it and some will hate it, some will try to keep it real but that is a pretty difficult task.
