Which European boxer is better known in the U.S.?

right now none of them are very well known. but Amir Khan has been mentioned way more in the U.S. than the other boxers
    • After Bradley's win over Peterson, Bradley was asked about Khan.
    • Brian kenny asked Freddie Roach on national tv about Amir Khan
    • ESPN talked on television about the Khan-Prescott fight
    • ESPN talked on television about the Khan-MAB fight
    • A US TV network named Amir Khan in 2007 the best prospect of the year
    • A US TV network named Khan-Prescott the upset of the year
    • after the Ortiz-Maidana fight, Maidana was asked about Khan

All the top fighters or well known fighters based in US have talked/mentioned Amir Khan: Mayweather Jr, Manny Pacquiao, Timothy Bradley, Juan Manuel Marquez, Paulie Malignaggi, Marcos Maidana, Victor Ortiz, Nate Campbell and Devon Alexander.

Well known people in the US who have mentioned Amir Khan: Brian Kenny, Freddie Roach, Bob Arum, De La Hoya, Richard Shaefer, Teddy Atlas, Max Kellerman and etcetera

Honestly, none of them are famous at all in the U.S. as of now.

However the one with the most potential to becoming famous in the U.S. is obviously Amir Khan since he is the most talented fighter of the bunch and has signed with an American promotor.

David Haye has just as much potential and hes actually beaten some quality fighters.

            Wladimir Klitschko.

And why is Bute on there? He may be originally from Romania, but he fights out of Canada.

And let me guess, you chose Amir Kahn for obvious reasons (you're gay for him)?

This is basically the truth. Realistically, John Duddy would be more famous than those guys, in the northeast atleast. The only European fighters I can say that are known in the US are the Klitschkos and that's in large part due to them fighting in America.

Haye's heavyweight title should count for some recognition.

I'd say both Klits are the best known in the US.

Froch holds a win over Taylor on US soil, and has beaten Dirrell (controversy aside), so i guess he might be known by few.

Well let's say he whoops Ruiz and then goes on to beat both the Klitschkos will he become famous in the U.S.? I doubt it, the Klitschkos arent very famous in the U.S. either and I suspect that the american casual fans won't care anyway since David Haye is not American and the americans are dying for an American heavyweight champ. I mean if David Haye becomes the next undisputed heavyweight champion of the world what difference will it really make for the Americans? For them he is just another European... Don't get me wrong I'm a big David Haye fan but I'm just being realistic.

The reason I say Khan is because he will most likely fight out of the U.S from now on and in the 140/147 division there are alot more fighters that are american or famous in america. There are talks of him facing JMM next which is a very winnable fight for Amir and JMM is a big name.
