I think Golden boy and Schafer in particular do a better job in getting him a replacement for Jan 30 or have him take a tune up around February... I know some posters believe Shane would not do that but again that is an opinion... Shane has never said anything like that so how would they know? I think they could of done that just to see how good Shane looks... Think about it if Shane takes a tune up and looks great and Floyd fights Shane and wins then there is no way you can take credit away from Floyd.... But, if Shane fights no tune up and Floyd beats Shane then fact is that you have the rusty excuse out there... This would be Shane longest layoff of his career... Again I will give Floyd credit... But, I can see fans/haters throwing Shane inactivity out there... And, I think that can be a legit case.... I will not use it... but, it can be used as an excuse... But, I think if Floyd wins this this will be Floyd best win or at the very worst rank up there with Corrales, Castillo, and Chicanito. But, I can also already tell that IF Floyd wins a lot of his nuthuggers will try to make the win greater than what it really is... And, it will be a great win but I think they will make it even greater... I can tell by them getting offended by the whole inactivity issue...

dude, 10 oz is the regular for welterweight fights. you can request for 8 oz, but 10 oz is what's used all the time cuz it is the norm. I bet you only know that you could request 8 oz cuz of pacquiao. If no fighter's request for any glove size, the commission will give them or I mean let em wear 10 oz.none of you idiots know the rules. 10oz only in nevada and they can wear 8oz if they both agree. If this fight was in atlantic city, cali or texas they have to wear 8oz. It is a big deal, shane's only hope for winning is to hurt floyd. Why am i obsessed with glove size?????? It's a hand on hand combat sport where that is your weapon. Anyone who has been hit by both knows 8oz hurts a lot more.Comment

agree w/ u on this one.Don't compare Mosley to Pac.
Of course Mosley has to take the tests. He openly admitted to taking steroids before his DLH fight. And therefore he has no moral grounds to refuse such a test.
And he freakin needs the money! He's 38 and his choices are definitely running out! He'll settle for Floyd's scraps if he has to.Comment

floyd's been on ppv way before the de la hoya fight.Originally posted by loui_ludwigBeen getting Pac's PPV fight since his rematch with Erik Morales. I believed Pac's first PPV was the 1st Morales fight, which i didn't get.
For Mayweather, only 3 fights, against JMM, Dela Hoya, and Hatton. Since Mayweather started a smear campaign, i am plan not to get anymore of Floyd's PPV fights. When Matthew Hatton, N. Campbell, or Malinagay was mentioned as opponent of Floyds next figh, i was defenitey not gonna get it.
If Mosley-Berto fight was PPV, i am planning to get it also.
But since the report of a Mosley facing Mayweather, i might get the PPV. But let see when the official announcement is made.Comment

do your research i'm tired of explaining to you that nevada is one of the only places on earth where 10oz is mandated but they can agree to wear 8oz. everywhere else is 8oz for ww.dude, 10 oz is the regular for welterweight fights. you can request for 8 oz, but 10 oz is what's used all the time cuz it is the norm. I've dreamed of this fight happening for years and it's almost here. Painfully slow start to the year, but what to say about the fight schedule between March and May except AWESOME!!!!!An official announcement is almost here for the welterweight clash between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBA champion Shane Mosley. The fighters have agreed to all of the fine points, including the money. The fight will take place on May 1 at the MGM Grand. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told Yahoo Sports that “all major deal points have been agreed upon. I hope to have something to announce in the next few days."
