In the 80's and early 90's? You're crazy. Look at dude at those times when the fight was hard and frustrating.

I have 30+ Tyson fights showing why he's the baddest man on the planet.

Tua is known purely for his left hook. And do you know why? Because it's all he had. He's not on Tyson's level, get over it.

That's why Tyson is ranked #14 on the top 50 heavyweights of all time, and Tua didn't make the list.

The TS specified "in their prime." At his very peak, it can be argued that Mike Tyson could beat any heavyweight that ever lived. That's not hyperbole. This man was a flesh and blood wrecking machine. Huge, grown men -- professional heavyweights -- were visibly afraid of him in the ring. Sounds made up, but it's true. (I've always believed that got him a few victories before the fight even started.) I'm not a Tyson fan, per se, but I remember him as a contender, and as a young champion. I also have the benefit of some DVDs, in case my memory fades. Tyson was a force of nature, back then. David Tua would have been just another number in the Tyson "W" column. Round 5 KO/TKO sounds about right.

i know what gurkha means. tyson was a mid-range fighter. but tua was as well.

          there are 3 distances.

          inside (clinch)- bernard hopkins

          mid-range (power punching)- tyson

long range (jabs and crosses)- muhammad ali, lennox lewis

some guys are good at any distance such as mayweather. some guys keep to one distance such as muhammad ali.

i know what you mean because im not so good at backing up when i fight and my best work is at mid-range (usually coming in). but tua was a mid range fighter as well who almost always and predictably i might add came in with a big left hook. i've never seen tyson rocked with one shot. i've never seen tua rocked at all but i'd give it to tyson on the fact that he's the busier faster fighter.

            Who picked Tua... Seriously

A prime 215 Mike Tyson with Cus D'mato would absolutely destroy David Tua...I'd be surprised if Tua made it out the first round

Either this is a bait post, or I'm guessing you've been watching boxing about 2 months.

                  ****** question dude

Tua slaps his hook, and it's not like Mike Tyson's only punch was the hook, all his weapons were sharp

                  ****** question...

                  Tyson by KO before 5

                    Mkay.

One of the reasons Holyfield beat Tyson was that he sparred with Tua in preparation. Notice the triple left hook.
