as for el finito, i would have loved for him to fight khasoi galaxy but galaxy was on his way out & lopez was just settling in at miniumweight.

What i dont understand about lopez is why he didnt move up to 112 or 115 & take on great fighters like michael carbajal, chiquita gonzalez,Myung Woo Yuh, & leo gamez. Imagine those fights taking place! I dont understand why? he had enough reach, height, & pop to compete in those divisions.
LOL you asked me to do it but you did yourself....

    YOu mentioned Khasoi Galaxy...

I would loved to see him move 3lbs yes 3lbs to fight a Chiquita Gonzalez and Michael Carbajal at their prime.... Both Carbajal and Gonzalez wanted it... But, Finito who I am a huge fan of hesitated to go up even turned down a fight with Gonzalez.... But, it was actually Nacho who turned it down but it falls on Finito because he is in charge of his team.... Nacho great trainer horrible manager.... There was talks about a dream fight at 112 against Mark "too sharp" Johnson that Nacho balked at... Too Sharp wanted it but never happened...

Ricardo Lopez great fighter IMO the most perfect fighter I have seen... But, didn't take those challenges....

Wait Floyd was not established at 140?

Floyd was not a HOF'er by the time he hit 140?

Floyd was not an ATG at SFW when he got to 140?

Floyd was not considered in the elite P4P discussion by the time he got to 140?

      Yea OK....

You can't even begin to compare Joe Calzaghe to Floyd Mayweather. Calzaghe has done NOTHING that another great super middleweight wouldn't have. Had Roy Jones stayed there or had Hopkins fought there, they would have accomplished a lot more than Joe did. That means beating every single fighter in the division and looking for big fights outside the division. Calzaghe stayed at 168 while it was weak, waited until Hopkins and Roy were old to challenge them and retired as soon as super middleweight got hot. He's a nothing.

yes, mark johnson is another one. there's a reason why trainers are trainers & managers should be managers. nacho is a perfect example. he almost ruined juan manuel's career & to a certain extent he did by not taking that rematch vs a very green one armed bandit pacquiao. didnt rafa drop beristain? abner mares did too.

Stop that... He never mentioned Cotto when Miguel became established and elite after beating Shane...

All he said when Cotto name was brought up I will retire from, I won't let boxing retire me...

If you go undefeated through 5 weight classes.

                Corralles

                Castillo

                Hernandez

ALL were suppose to BEAT Floyd.

So was Oscar, Judah, Gatti and Baldimir.

DontTasemebrah is promoting carelessness and mediocrity by praising LOSERS.

I will repeat again: any idiot on this site can lose a boxing match, it doesnt take much talent. But it takes intense discipline to go 40-0 in your career and 20-0 in championship fights, all while moving up in weight!

Mayweather beats the people he is supposed to beat, a lot of people take that for granted.

Did Pac beat everyone he was supposed to beat?

Did Ali beat everyone he was supposed to beat?

Did Wlad beat everyone he was supposed to beat?

No they all lost fights they were supposed to dominate. I cant stress enough how much discipline it takes to do what Floyd does at the championship level. Mayweather was in severe pain for a lot of those matches and still nutted up and delivered!

If going undefeated while moving through 5 weight classes was so easy, everyone would be doing it. So far, just Mayweather.

Yes he did. It was on ESPN First Take. Thats what Floyd said "Id love to fight Cotto...but he has to be his OWN boss" That came right out his mouth.

That quote has nothing to do with Cotto.

That quote means Ill retire form the sport on my own terms ...I wont be embarrassing myself like Roy Jones and other guys who stayed past their welcome.

That quote has nothing to do with Cotto.

You trying to make it seem like Floyd was saying if I ifght Cotto he'll retire me. Cmon man.
