But it takes a true warrior to go undefeated...

The Difference between a warrior and a quitter:

        Champ ******* out from pain

        Mayweather's the storm

Everyone has their bad nights, including Mayweather. The difference between Floyd and other fighters is that Floyd doesnt panic or quit on his stool when he gets in trouble, he improvises and guts it out!

Marciano was the same way... Rocky was legitimately knocked down by Joe Walcott and severely beaten another time but he kept on fighting and got the W.

Joe Calzaghe was knocked down by the best Middleweight in the world in the 1st round! Most mortals wouldve simply given up at that point, but Joe came back and dominated BHOP for the rest of the fight. That is true Greatness.

It takes more courage to WIN every night. Any fool can lose.
i was with you until you mentioned Joe Cal

He spent 1998-2007 against trained warriors who all wanted to knock his block off. They may not have been the best, but they were all top professionally trained boxers. Pacquiao lost twice in that same time frame, the Klitschkos lost 5 times in that time frame. The reason Floyd is superior to them as well as other fighters is that he wins the fights hes supposed to.

          Pacquiao lost to Rustico Torrevampo
          Pacquiao lost to Singsurat
          Wladamir lost to Ross Puritty
          Wladamir lost to Brewster

What do all of those matches have in common? None of these guys were consider the BEST. These were all bums Pacquiao and Wlad were supposed to kill but didnt. Thats what makes Floyd great. Not only does Floyd win the superfights against Diego, Hatton and DLH, but he also wins the not so superfights as well. Its called consistency, and always staying on top of your game. Discipline. Greatness!

          Are you ***ing kidding me..

If Manny was supposed to win those fights as a kid.

Then you can say that Floyd was supposed to win all his amateur fights but he lost in the amateur around the same time..

So in truth .. Floyd not that great...

Unfortunately for Ricardo Lopez there was not enough challenges at his weight class during his reign. He did fight all commers but he was buried at the Don King stable and his matches weren't televised for the masses. He did what he had to do and consistantly dominated. He did go up in weight and was still as effective but not as devastating.

Lopez was a gem of a boxer to watch. The writer probably never seen most of Lopez matches to come to his conclusion or knew about his opponents since they were from every corner of the world

that what i've been saying all the time, undefeated doesn't = greatness. what makes a fighter great is what he does after a loss, how he deals with the loss, if he avenges the loss or at least tries too, but the great things a fighter does after a loss is what makes them great.

perfect example is hamed, everyone was calling him great and said he's the g.o.a.t this and that, then he had one loss and a less than entertaining come back fight where he got a less than impressive win, a win that got him boo'd by his hometown crowd, and then never to be seen again. never to do a great thing after his loss, which in my eyes and the eyes of many makes a great fighter, the great accomplishments after a loss........ hamed never came close, nothing but hype and well selected opponents.

the fact that the greatest fighters ever have losses is proof perfect. undefeated to me means a fighter hasn't been matched right.

the only fighter that i can say that should be undefeated and wouldn't be doubted if he was undefeated, which he has one loss, is Aaron Pryor.......

If Floyd beat Pac/Molsey.. I will be the first Pac-Fan to give Floyd props. I will no longer use the world ***** and will stop calling Floyd a ducker and a *****..

I will even put up a Floyd avatar..

you can quote me on that..

People will say he needs to fight.....then start naming off fighters. And some of them can't even see him fighting them...but he will eventually.

thats how it seems...but If Floyd were to have a war with these guys..maybe it would look like more competition..but because Floyd makes it look so easy..
hes a "fraud" who ducks tough competition..

you know I remember watching Chico/PBF..rooting for Chico..and just knowing that Floyd was gonna lose..and after that fight I had tons of respect for Chico that he didnt wanna quit and that he was so upset he was forced to...and I had tons of respect watching what Floyd just did to Chico..that was the day I was an official fan..Floyd was supposed to lose that fight..like many other top fights.
now..has he fought everyone at welter?..No.
but hes only been active at welter for a little over 2 years, so Im gonna give him the benefit to fight the top guys this year..but how can anyone dispute that only 5 out of his 40 fights were at welter(pre retirement)..and that he dominated the bulk of his career. Mitchell,Baldomir,Judah,Hatton,DLH were all defeated within a span of 2 years..2 years at welter is not gonna define his legacy for me..his greatness was at 130 ^...but he still must fight Mosley and Pac this year..not just for the hardcore fans..but so that the new fans will get it too..
