If you take on great opposition & put up a good showing, WIN,LOSE, OR DRAW you win. You win respect, you win admiration, & you never get accused of being a ducker or cherry picker.
It MATTERS BIG TIME when you lose & who you lose to, who you beat & when you beat them.
Ali lost to a all time great in joe frazier. But he also fought 4 or 5 legit hall of famers. Not some borderline hall of famers like fraud jr did.
wladimir lost to brewster & sanders IN HIS PRIME. I dont care, because wlad never claimed all time greatness & slags other all time great fighters.
Pacquiao lost when he was in the beginning stages of his career when he was a malnourished fighter living in abject poverty. He didnt have professional boxers as uncles & fathers like fraud did. he didnt have a olympic background like fraud jr. did. he didnt have the meticulous match making & support of top rank like fraud jr. did. Pac went up the professional ranks the HARD WAY. The fact that he is where he is at right now is utterly amazing & nothing short of miraculous.
Ali lost to a man who was 6-0-1(7 fights) for his career in Leon Spinks
Ali also lost in his near-prime to Ken Norton.
Ken Norton and Leon Spinks are Average-Good fighters that Ali was supposed to beat, but didnt. Every opponent Floyd was supposed to beat, Floyd beat and delivered the W.
You are underestimating the extreme discipline it takes to perform well in EVERY fight instead of just the big ones. Stop promoting mediocrity and imperfection.

Ali lost to ken norton, a fellow hall of famer. ali lost to spinks when he was way past his prime. duran lost to pat lawlor who ended up being 23-16. wtf is your point?
like i said before, it depends on who you beat & when you beat them, who you lost to & when you lost to.
I might be underestimating being undefeated, but you are overestimating being undefeated.
chavez jr. is 41-0. His dad was went 45-0 going up against weak opposition.
zsolt erdai is is 31-0.
Fighting great opposition & participating in great fights that captivate the audience whether you win, lose, or draw is not promoting mediocrity & imperfection.......
Its striving for true legendary greatness & proper boxing immortality not infamy.Last edited by DonTaseMeBrah; 01-29-2010, 09:29 AM.

Maybe it's possible for a human to be born so gifted they can beat anyone, it just hasn't happened yet. Maybe once in a millennium, it might occur.
But there are no such people who exist right now, Mayweather and many other undefeated fighters today are definitely beatable. If someone can get hit, knocked down, or almost lose in close decisions they are absolutely beatable.

Whats worse is, some people actually believe it & treat him as such. The reason why i hate this fraud is he disrespects other fighters & had the audacity to say he's better than sugar ray robinson, leonard, & ali because they lost. How can you even claim that when the best fighters on your resume is Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, ricky hatton, & oscar de la hoya?

If Baldomir had taken Floyd's zero in 2006, Baldomir not only would be in the hall of fame, but he would be considered a God on these forums. You guys are basically criticizing Floyd because he is not as careless as Ali, and doesnt slip up against inferior competition.

I know one thing that Floyd will dominate Pac and Mosley. The P4P 1 and 3. Then I wonder what dontasemebrah will say.
He still hasnt fought anyone??...nice try.
