Hearns was about 6'3, nevermind Boxrec saying he's 6'1, look at how he looked next to some of his opponents. Example: James Schuler who was also listed at 6'1 or Sugar Ray Leonard who was about 5'10.

Take that into account and he looks taller than he was reported to be.

Now add enough punching power to put Duran face down for a nap and stumble Marvin Hagler.

Now enough speed and IQ to dazzle Ray Leonard and Wilfred Benitez.

I'm not sure how Floyd loses, but he loses. Possibly by UD, Benitez managed to make it to UD, I'm not sure why not Floyd.

Floyd is a very clever, very slick fighter. If he was in survival mode, I'm sure he could make it to the ending bell.

This is one of those fantasy fights were I could see Mayweather losing.

Hearns was not your typical WW, which is where I could only see this fight happening.

          I'm not counting Floyd out.

But with the height, reach advantage, and that type of punching power Hearns showed, it would be a TOUGH night.

Hearns had knock you dead power.

He knocked out Cruiserweights, at the end of his career.

I just think he is too big for Mayweather.

Amazes me to see anyone pick Floyd to lose by KO when he has never been on his ass. Anyways Floyd solves the riddle and wins by UD or late stoppage

You are talking about a 6'1-6'2 prime WW who went on to fight at LHW and CW against a 5'8 prime lightweight who moved up to WW.

This is like saying Roy Jones Jr who's prime is at smw lhw will beat Evander Holyfield at CruiserWeight.

The thing is, if Roy Jones Jr had went up to CW instead of HW, he would look pretty damn good and probably beat the likes of Jirov and others in the eraly 2000's, that don't mean he's a natural CW.

Floyd at 147-154 is just a weight class above his best and Hearns is one of the greatest WW's ever.

So, you see Floyd stopping Hearns.

But it amazes you that a guy that went toe to toe with Pipino Cuevas, knocked Duran's **** in the dirt, couldn't stop Mayweather?

                Meh....

Like i said, not counting Mayweather out. But that Hearns riddle would be a 1500 piece 3-D puzzle wearing Kronk colors, and one of the nastiest right hands ever.

Not to mention that jheri curl, lol.

Floyd is a lightweight that moved up as far as Jr Middle and was never on his ass. My prediction is that he would win but I could see why people would pick Hearns to win but to predict that Floyd would lose by KO is hard for me to see because like I said he's never been on his ass. Hearns has more of a chance to be KO'd in the fight than Floyd. Yes Hearns was one of the hardesr hittest ever but I'm willing to bet that Floyd's defense, IQ and chin would allow him to negate that power

It's a testament to Floyd's chin, defense and boxing IQ... I could see Floyd stopping Hearns late because Floyd is very good late in fights where as Tommy sometimes gases and he doesn't have the best chin.

Give me the scenario in which Floyd gets KO'd. Does he get caught early, outboxed and beaten up?

That's a weak logic, every good fighter he fought at 147-154 were not natural super WW'S, they were all lightweights that moved up. I don't know if you realize how big of an advantage a 6'2 guy with skills like Hearns have over a 5'8 guy like Floyd. That's a 6 inch height advantage, add in Hearn's Jab and right hand. I just don't see how Floyd can survive 12 rounds unless he goes Lance Armstrong. NOW Obviously if Floyd says ' i want to go the distance' for sure he can, but he will probably lose a wide UD.

This is the worst possible nightmare match up for Floyd.

It's just like saying Wladimir vs Tyson at HW. Styles make fights. Hearns got everything a fighter needs to beat Floyd, Floyd have a bigger chance of beating Sugar Ray then Hearns imo.
