Margarito, who is a vastly better fighter than MattHatt with a much better beard, barely went 9 with Shane. Do you seriously think MattHatt would last just one round less? Even if Shane grew old overnight and MattHatt fought the fight of his life this probably wouldn't go 8.

matthew hatton would duck this fight citing that shane mosley is not a ppv attraction.

I don't think Shane would be as sharp for MattHatt. He's tough, never been floored.

LOL. You just gotta leave Weebler when it comes to the Hattons. He is pretty damn loyal.

True, it might last longer than the consensus prediction of 12 seconds, but really, easy wipeout victory.

I don't think he was ****, it was just too much for him though. His power didn't carry up.

This argument might carry if Ricky was a devastating KO artist who relied on his power, but he wasn't, he was never knocking good fighters dead. He wore them down and grinded them out, and he tried to do that to Floyd, but Floyd just played him like a fiddle and took him out after battering him.

People said Cotto/Jennings wouldn't go past 2 rounds, it went 5. In manchester, MattHatt takes Mosley at least 5 imo, he's never been stopped.

How you grind someone down if your power had no impact? Hatton's biggest mistake was not fighting Floyd at 140 after Tszyu. Floyd played him like he played Marquez.

You still haven't let go of these delusions you have about the Hatton brothers, he has never been floored vs the average fighters he has been facing, (even though he still got managed to get stopped by a guy with like 5 fights back in 03, but that was on his feet I think) against Shane he would get killed, the speed and power Shane brings to the table would be too much, as well as Shane's better experience and level of comp.

He was never a big puncher, he ground away at guys with average-ish power and lots of pressure, that didn't leave him at 147.

Do you honestly think the fight would have gone much differently? True Hatton might have been a little better, but it may have ended up worse for him overall, because Floyd at 140 was faster, more aggressive, not small for the weight, and very much in his prime, he would have tattooed Hatton.

You are trying to compare a past prime former FW jumping up from LW to fight Floyd at WW, to a career LWW jumping up to a weight he had fought at before, against Floyd, who he outweighed on F/N......
