why not give a guy the nod when he horribly outclasses his opponent for 8-9 rounds

He didn't look good against Sweet Pea, and I had him losing to Quartey, so can't be either of them.

The Mayorga fight was very good, but Mayorga is terrible.

I guess the Vargas fight was his 2nd best.
I actually thought he "may" have lost both of those fights but its not like he was fighting chumps. You can put on a great performance and still lose when you are fighting the top dogs. I thought he fought very well in both fights and I give him credit for that, win or lose

              the trinidad fight

he won the fight regardless if he ran for the last 4, but he was making a fool out of a prime, undefeated Tito.

I like his perfomance on the 2nd Mosley fight and how he didn't fade as he did in the first Mosley fight. Despite Chavez being past his prime i like how he was willing to duke it out in the 2nd chavez fight. Chavez was past his prime but he still was dangerous. People can say what they want about Vargas. But Oscar KO a guy who was on PEDS- its worth mentioning.

I like his 12th RD against Quartay which could have been scored 10-7 since he KD quartay early on and almost had a TKO when he had him in the ropes. Even if it was a controversial decision atleast DLH made a conscious effort to go for the KO.

Early in his career, i like the perfomances against Campenella and Valenzuela. He was knock down in both fights and came back to KO both of those opponents.

Exactly what I thought when I read the topic..
I'd also say the Quartey and mayorga fights weren't too bad

Skills and dominance: Miguel A. Gonzalez, R.Ruelas and Trinidad.
Heart and determination: against Quartey and Vargas.
