What do you consider JMM's most masterful performance?

Since it seems like his career might wind down soon, lets re-examine some of Juan Manuel Marquez's most compelling fights.

    The list includes:
(My rating next to fight on a scale from 1 to 5.)

    JMM/Pac 1 (5)
    JMM/Casamayor (4.25)
    JMM/Diaz (5)
    JMM/Pac 2 (4.50)
    JMM/Mayweather (4)
    JMM/Barrera (4.25)
    JMM/Jaendeng (4.75)
    JMM/Juarez (5)
    JMM/Jaca (4.75)

All these fights are interesting because of JMM's technical skill alone, but every one of them has different variables in age, in weight and in approach that make them absolutely unique.

I won't include a poll because I prefer this be an in depth discussion if possible.

    Please discuss.

I can't argue with that at all.

I think for overall technical mastery and total skill application, his fight with Juarez is his most complete.

That was not against the disappointment we know as Juarez now. That was against a hot Rocky Juarez coming off a "draw" with Barrera. The one that made Barrera look old in 2 fights and JMM absolutely dominated.

There is a sequence in the 5 or 6th round where he throws a perfect combination of Jab, uppercut, hook to the body and tears Rocky up with it.

Rocky looked like he'd just seen a damn ghost.

        some slept on JMM fights

Gainer- he made Gainer literally run from him

Mantecas Medina- was a good fighter back when they fought and JMM folded him

Peden- I think it was this fight where JMM made Peden toss his cookies between rounds

I haven't seen the Peden or Medina or Gainer fights.

I shudder to think of having to watch Gainer fight. I don't wish that on any man.

But I've seen the gif of Peden hurling in the corner badly. That **** was brutal.

I need to watch the other 2.

How did Gainer realizing he couldn't beat JMM come about?

Was it instant? Or did it take a few rounds? At what point did he turn into Carl Lewis?

Diaz or the 1st Pacquiao fight.

The Casamayor fight was really close up until the stoppage. i think that was one of his uglier performances

                    its weird

early on you could see that Gainer was going to try and keep JMM at the end of his jab while turning him away from shots but it just became a track meet of embarassing proportions thats why I say watch once then burn

what I like about it though is a blueprint on how you beat a faster fighter with quality footwork and punching
