Now you expect him to throw more punches against Pacqauio who is a fast moving beast??? Its difficult to see an upset here to be honest but this is boxing after all.
    I agree with your assessment

I predict an easy night for pacquiao, a wide UD win. COuld even be a late KO
i don't see him being able to stop clottey, i think clottey will be there the whole fight, b/c like dude said, he'll just cover his face to block the punches.

i do however see manny winning a wide UD, and unlike many ppl, i don't think this will be a very exciting fight past the 6th round.

it'll be manny teeing off and clottey covering up, the only way this fight does halfway well, is if margarito and other mexican fighters are on the undercard. not an exciting fight at all.

yea, that judah fight was unbelievably close. had judah been a fighter that had some kind of heart, and stuck it out, he probably would've been able to pull that fight out in the late rounds.

clottey looked good at times, but there were also times judah showed he that much quicker, and had he had the heart of a champion, he may have been able to beat clottey.

credit to pacquiao for not fighting a "bum" after ducking mayweather, but at the same time, he's pretty much in a no-win situation here. besides the fact clottey is not a "great" fighter to begin with, pacquiao just beat the man that just beat clottey. clearly arum put this fight together, b/c he promotes both fighters, and will end up makng more money that both these guys off this fight. same thing with them trying to put a margarito fight together after this one....

Clottey is a very tough fighter, with great defense, a solid chin, the size advantage and a hard head (butt).

Pac will have his hands full!

I don't think so, Pac's hand speed and quickness will be too much.

I belive Clottey is going to fight like never before he got good defense and I believe his going to use his size to manhandle Manny.he has missed alot of oportunities but I think he going to capitalized off this chance. Still in all I see Pac winning split decision!!

If you watch the Clottey-Judah fight carefully, you'll see Judah wasn't landing any significant punch the entire fight despite his fancy footwork and blazing handspeed. Most of his punches were jabs(like 80%). He quit because he was getting broken down. In the 9th round(about halfway through the round) that the fight was stopped, he had landed 2 out of 6 punches(and those were jabs) Clottey had landed 9 out of 23(and all were power punches). The punch stats for that fight? Judah was outlanded 170 to 90 in power punches.

The fight was not even remotely close if you believe fights are scored by 'clean effective punches, aggressiveness and ring generalship'. Activity or flashy footwork\punches alone don't win fights in my book.

Even with the heart of champion he will still have lost. Why? Because he wasn't landing anything whiles he was been countered and punished for his activity. Come on, the man had bleeding nose and bleeding mouth, swollen eyes, a cut on his eye(from a punch) whiles Clottey was unmarked.

Also don't just look at fight records. Watch the fights before using it as a comparison. Cotto caused much more damage to Pac than he did to Clottey.

Pac/Roach better not have the same idea a lot of his and Mayweather fans have that this is an easy fight with a guy who just shells up. He is a skilled counter puncher and an effective aggressive pressure fighter when required. His handspeed is respectable, not single punch speed but combination punching speed. How many boxers can throw and land a quadruple left hook combination to the body and head?

If you believe this is an easy fight for Pac then Shane will have beaten Winky easily. Shane had faster hands, quicker feet, more power in both hands, unparalleled aggressiveness, unbelievable stamina and Winky only had his tight defense, solid jab and size\reach advantage. What happened? Winky beat Shane convincingly, not once but twice.
