Who has better overall "boxing" skills: De La Hoya or Mosley?

Mosley doesn't really have great boxing skills. He has a sorry excuse for a jab, he's not exactly a counter puncher, his footwork is inconsistent.

Mosley got where he has by god given athleticism, and the ability to take an incredible punch. He is the definition of a speedy slugger.

Pretty much what I was gunna say. Mosley is very speedy, has power, is tough and used to be very fats on his feet (Not so much now). Naturally athletic, but not an overly skilled fundamental boxer.

Doesn't mean the right person won. I forget which fight I thought DLH won vs Mosley, but I do think he won one. Just like I thought DLH beat Felix.

Many people felt DLH won the Second fight. Although, what I heard (Can't remember where), was the majority at ring side scored it to Mosley, and those watching it on TV scored to DLH.

the question wasnt who is the better fighter but who has better boxing skills, which is DLH. mosley is the better fighter but DLH has more skills.

I honestly believe Shane can box, I think he has tremendous boxing skills, but that is not his style... he like to brawl, stay flat footed...

So style wise I guess I go with Oscar, he was a better harder jad, due to the fact that his lead hand is his strong hand... he likes to move and use the ring.... he also like to be on his toes and be bouncing and popping the jab... I event think he had better foot speed than Shane but Shane has quicker hands...

come on mate,mosley lost the second fight imo but the judges gave it to him,dont forget he was on peds aswell for that fight and it should have been over turned in oscars favour

Again that means nothing due to styles.... Example...

Sandy Saddler beat Willie Pep 3 times but Pep had way more skilled than Saddler...

Vernon Forrest had more skilled than Mayorga but Mayorga beat him twice...

IMO Hopkins more skilled than Taylor but Taylor won twice.....

And, there are plenty of more examples...

well I think your missing something to. Did you even watch the fights? Your acting like Mosley gave DLH the beating of his life. My opinion, Mosley won one, DLH won one. Ontop of that, Mosley was most likely on steriods around this period of time. Thats if Mosley was actually on steriods. ****, the guy admitted to it, so im guessing he was.
