    Gamboa vs Chris John

This is a very interesting match-up between the "regular" and "super" WBA champions (lol at that scam).

Would John be two experienced, too skilled for Gamboa?

Would Gamboa be too quick & powerful for John?

How do YOU think this fight would go down if they are to fight in the coming months?

I dunno man, Chris john can outbox him. Also Gamboa has impressive ko power and athleticism but he tends to drop his guard a lot and sometimes while coming forward. I think if he fought a good counter puncher like donaire or marquez he'd get ktfo.

But between john and gamboa this I can't call this. I haven't seen gamboa against any high tier competition.

Meant to vote John by decision. Unless Gamboa tags him, its over.

Chris John has been around the block, he knows how to win this fight and would.

Gamboa will overwhelm him with speed and in and out movement, John doesnt have any power.

John will land but with no effect.

Gamboa UDs him and KHD in the fight

I think way too many of you are reading too much in Gamboa’s last performance. Chris John is no slouch and I would favor him considerably to beat Gamboa.

Experience, skill and overall ring generalship would favor John, he’s been there and done that Gamboa hasn’t.

Side note: I know I'm in the minority in saying this.

I really dont know if Chris can tek his pouches...

this a type of fight which would make bets interesting...

Im waiting 4 this fight since Gamboa is da WBA champ.

I wanne see Gamboa takin' the Super Champ Chris out.
thats not impossible. Gamboa has an incredible stinema and could throw atomic bombs while never stop hitting. Plus what I saw in da last fight hes a really good counterpuncher, too.

              GAMBOA FTW

Well like I said in the other thread about this fight it would depend on where teh fight was fought on the outside John should be able to use his length and skills to keep Gamboa at bay, but if Gamboa can get in close he could work over John.

A thing to keep in mind is that Juarez in the first fight was able to get inside and he was able to land some real nice shots on John especially in the championship rounds, but Juarez is a tough dude and had to endure a ton of punishment accomplish that.

                It is an interesting fight.

I think one thing is clear.
                  Chris won't stop Gamboa.

Gamboa has won gold medals though and has over 400 fights, so I think fighting on a big stage like that wouldn't be much of a problem for Gamboa. Plus, he's always shown to have cool ass nerves, at least to me anyways.

Kinda like how Roy Jones had all that experience going into the bernard hopkins fight, whereas hopkins never seen the big flashy lights before whereas jones was an Olympian and fought on a bigger stage at that point.

I think John is awkward though and we haven't seen Gamboa against a guy who is both really skilled and awkward at the same time, so there is a bit of an unknown there.
