Details are sketchy but apparently former super featherweight champion Jorge Barrios was involved in a major traffic accident in the city of Mar del Plata, which is south of Buenos Aires. He was allegedly driving his car at a very high speed, lost control and crashed his BMW SUV into several other vehicles. A 20-year-old pregnant woman was killed and six people were injured.
