Gamboa can't Handle a fighter with a jab and a good left hook.

If Gamboa fights a Floyd type of a fighter, who has good techinque and a jab, I think he will lose.

Close fight, but Gamboa slaps and lets in too many Jabs.

a cuda wuda shuda thread, I suggest you wait for gamboa to lose first before you make a thread like this. The guy just won a fight for Christ's sake.

I think Gamboa is great, has awesome reflexes, but he has been down and could be out if he fights a good enough fighter.

Yeah but whenever Gamboa's been down, he hasn't been asked the question of whether he would get up or not. He gets up too quickly to ever be asked that question.

Now his accuracy, impatience, arrogance, and frustration against a Floyd-like fighter is what I would worry about.

Yes, and thats what that AM fight proved. Gamboa swings wild and inaccurate, his hands are low and the other fighter's Jab find home. He is also very open to left hooks in the exchanges, and a straight right right after them.

It sucks to say, but Gamboa is not Roy Jones level talent, no matter how much we want him to be.

What Gamboa's open for most of all is shots up the middle like uppercuts. Gamboa has a tendency to get square and wide when he lets both hands go, although he has tightened up a but i still observed him momentarily doing this against Mtagwa. The irony is, is that Lopez caught Luevano with an uppercut pulling out.
