It was Rahman who originaly delayed the fight. Byrd refused to fight Wladimir. Lennox Lewis gave up belts rather than fight. It happens all the time. To call Vitali a ***** for delaying a fight due to injury is just bias and hateful.

Also I believe Vitali has been very active. Compare his activity to Byrd, Ruiz, Brewster, or even Lewis. Lewis only fought once a year. Vitali has been just as active or more active than all of them. So I don't know what are your talking about?
good job with the old jokes, haven't heard those already, hey why did the chicken cross the road?!?!....

Vitali fans keep talking, becuase your boy keeps hiding, while Rahman keeps sharp and keeps knockin' people out, I'll take activity and KO's over cry-baby trash talkin nut-huggers any day of the week and twice on Sunday

The WBC belt will be the Rock's come July 23rd, and all 4 belts will be the property of the U-S-A!!!

And we have Quit-schko's weak spine, er bad back, to thank for it

What is the big deal? Chris Byrd has had 3 defenses since beating Holyfield in December of 2002. 2005 is nearly half way over. John Ruiz had 3 defenses since beating Rahman in December of 2003. Brewster has had 1 defense since beating Wlad in April of 2004.

You may be right, It's the nature of the sport. But don't be surprised if the belts are in the US because Vitali becomes a US citizen. All the belts may soon belong to Vitalways Kicksasschko!

i know, it's the nature of the biz to only fight twice per year, and all of the forementioned title holders have followed that pattern....i'm just pi$$ed that Vitali goes down with a so-called injury only 2 days after Rahman officially signs for their fight, that was pretty shady

I've heard talk on other boards that they think Vitali is using this a ploy because everyone knows how lazy Rahman can be, and that he'll be back to his regular fat self by September. Though the fight Barrett should help keep him in shape.

Good call, I heard the same thing, I don't think that Vitali's crew thought that Rahman would risk his ranking before fighting Vitali, so I'm sure that they're baffled by DK's decision to match the Rock with Barrett in July, but if Rock wins by KO then all of a sudden Klitschko-Rahman becomes a BIG PPV EVENT, which is great for all of us!

True, but if Rahman loses, Barrett will be an easier defense for Vitali than Williams.

that's a big IF, I don't think Barrett has the tools to beat any of the top-flight heavyweights, but he's come up with big upsets before so who knows maybe lighting will strike again
