We can't pick and chose on what to believe from Arum. If you going to show a link of an article make sure you talk what the whole article mentions. Especially if you want to show this as some kind of "facts".

Arum said he would have extended the buy out window, but that doesn't mean he could have signed to fight Marg for 8 million without having to take the Cotto and Hatton fights at a lose. I highly doubt Arum would have let him sign to just fight Marg and that was the main issue. Fact is, no matter how you slice it, Mayweather made the best business decision by ending his ties with TR and moving on to make big money with GBP.

Lineal Champion or not we all now Margarito would have been the tougher fight, and Floyd chose Baldomir. He had a choice and he made his descision.

While ESPN, Brian Kenny, Boxing fans were telling hm to fight Baldomir, because Baldomir beat Judah, Mayweather was trying to make a fight with DLH in 2006. The fight fell through, DLH instead fought Mayorga for the WBC title, Mayweather was left without a dance partner so he fought Baldomir. Then, in 2007, the DLH-Mayweather fight was finally made.

Baldomir was not Mayweather's 1st choice, it was actually DLH. Margarito was in Top Rank[obviously] which Bob Arum and Mayweather at the time were still going through court from Mayweather's buyout, which Mayweather was successful in. So I don't know how was Mayweather gonna do business with some one he was going through court against, doesn't make any sense.

I mean, I know plenty of people who wanted Margarito over Baldomir. I know I did.

People were asking for the Margarito fight before the Judah fight even. Judah just lost and rapidly lost interest, alot of people wanted to see that instead of Judah let alone Baldomir.

I give credit to Mayweather for beating the Lineal Champ but I think everyone at time knew Margarito was the best option available. Margarito was already known as a beast by then.

It is true enough, no one cared about a Margarito fight until much later Floyd got called out on ESPN for fighting Judah instead of Baldomir so it is not like no one wanted to see it or didn't think it was a legitimate fight.

I remember people saying Judah was the MAN to beat Floyd even after Baldomir beat him and I remember people saying Baldomir would beat or at least give Floyd a run for his money also.

I can prove this through digging up threads here if you want to go that route or you can accept the situation was not black and white simple like you are making it out.

He was being attacked by Kenny and boxing fans to fight Baldomir and Margarito, Margarito was in Top Rank which Floyd was in court with, I don't know if you have seen Kenny vs Mayweather regarding a Baldomir fight and how people were saying Floyd fears Baldomir, it's laughable now to see people saying Floyd cherrypicked Baldomir.

Mayweather bought out his contract right after the Judah fight because Oscar told him he wasn't going to fight him as long as he's in Top Rank. Because as you already knew, Oscar and Arum were not exactly friends[sounds familiar? Mayweather vs Cotto: Mayweather tells Cotto to leave Top Rank and you have a fight?]. If you think Mayweather cherrypicked Baldomir over Margarito, that's fine too. But try to take in to consideration the legal troubles between Mayweather and Arum, and the whole feud. If you have no regard for any of the behind the scene problems that was going on, then sure, "Mayweather ducked Margarito for Baldomir." I guess that's the easier answer, that you don't have to put much thought in to. Since every one is ducking every one and nobody really cares about anything else that's going on. It wouldn't be any fun without boxing fans having the right to their own uneducated opinions and speculations about why a fight didn't happen.

I know for a fact you know about boxing and boxing history so I fail to see how you can say something like this is so black and white when in the history of the sport is filled with gray.

Is that really that hard say yea there is a lot more to this situation than just fighting one guy?
