  • How do you see Clottey beating Pacquiao?

If you are predicting a Clottey win, state how he wins. Also think of the implications: Where Manny goes from there, what would be in store for Clottey, Would Pacquiao lose his no.1 spot, etc

It's not out of the realm of possibility to see Josh winning, Manny is the deserved favourite but stranger things have happened.

I'm not predicting a Clottey victory but I can see how he can win the fight.

Clottey has a good jab, he was able to match Cotto jab for jab at times so that's probably the key for him, if he can get his jab pumping and keeps it off rhythm he can trouble Pacquiao, he also has to not jump when he throws the jab, which he does from time to time like Quartey used to do, leaves himself open for counters.

He needs to apply pressure because he will be the bigger man, Pacquiao is a welterweight now but he's a smallish one, Clottey has weighed in as high as 170 on the night of the fight, I expect him to be 160+ against Pacquiao so he needs to make that extra weight count.

He needs to keep his hands high like he does at all times while coming forward because Pacquiao is good at lulling opponents into thinking they're out of range when they're not.

Needs to transition better from defense to offense, the guy doesn't flow from offense to defense and back again, he needs to switch gears every time so he needs to work on that.

And one of the most important things he has to do is be consistent, the guy has let up on the gas at important moments in his career, he can't afford to do that against Pacquiao.

As I said, I'm not picking him to win, I think Pacquiao will win but Clottey has a shot.

by blocking and jabbing the whole fight, never opening up so Pacquiao can get excitied and go on his assualt. Clottey fights not to lose, but not to win

his strategy will most likely cover up and go forward and try to pin pac on the ropes using his superior size and strength. But pac is too quick that.
It can only go either way he gets K.O. or lose by decision.

I see pac winning this but let's see.

Pac is blitzing past brawlers for the past fights. Clottey has a fast jab and also good timing. My opinion is that he works inside his shell and use the overhand right to hit pac. This strategy works perfectly against Judah. He should entice pac to hit first and counter him.

He should not go toe to toe with him. He has underrated handspeed but it is slower compared to pac. If he exchanges with pac, pac would get to him first and could hurt him or take the sting off his punches.

                  As for the other question...
                  1. pac will go down to number 3 before pbf-mosley fights (if the fight happens). As soon as this is done, he would probably go up again to 2. The winner of pbf-mosley go to 1 and the loser go to 3. I'm not sure but this is the most likely scenario to build up another megafight with pac.
                  4. Clottey would probably be at 5-10. I'm not sure if he would now be on the A side of his next fights but this fight will really improve his drawing power win or lose.

a strong lucky punch right on Manny's jaw..

and if that happens, there's no other way but a rematch..
I am certain Pac will ask for it, and Clottey will agree.

but this is like 7% chance.. imo
