How do Lopez/Gamboa fare against Chris John?

Would be a great match-up for both guys.

    Are they ready?

I would like to see those fights, Gamboa and Lopez might not win but they would have decent chances. John's awkward boxing might be too much for them right now though.

I think they do better then Rocky.

They both have more then one gear.

They don't take 12 rounds to warm up.

Gamboa KO's John. He doesn't have the chin or the reflexes to deal with Gamboa's speed and power at this point in his career. It might be interesting for a while, but Gamboa will tag him, and unlike Juarez, he can follow up.

Sure but it's arguable that Juarez won like 6 rounds out of 24.

And yes, they would have better chances than Juarez but you also have to remember that Juarez was a guy moving down in weight against John, Juarez was knocking guys out at 130, I think he's a naturally heavier handed guy than both Lopez and Gamboa.

Out of the two I'd personally give Gamboa a better chance at winning, guys like John who is and awkward boxer, don't like to come up against guys who are awkward and hard to time like Gamboa is.

Gamboa might have looked like a million bucks against Mtagwa but John is a big step up in class for Gamboa. John is a rangy, awkward, skillful guy and he wasn't hurt until the end of both Juarez fights where Juarez put pressure on him for all 12 rounds, Juarez is a physically big guy for 126, the guy was physically strong at 130.

                  Completely agree.

I also forgetting that John is pretty fast guy.

Here is why you are wrong. John outboxed, Juarez for most of their fights, but as soon as he started getting caught, which was in the late rounds of both fights, he was rocked bad, and nearly stopped.

Gamboa is fast enough that John will be getting caught with those punches in the first rounds. Johns isn't durable enough to take those shots for 12 rounds, and he isn't quick enough to stay away from them.

Its not a for sure blow out by Gamboa, John is a hell of a fighter, but Gamboa is all wrong for him. Hes Rocky Juarez on Roy Jones sauce.
