That might be true if he was a righty but him being a Southpaw cancles all that **** out. I mean 2 fights ago people were talking about Gamboa looking flawed and Lopez looking like the clear P4P future #1. I just think guys with alot of pure boxing technique are hard to beat. Thats what I think Lopez is while I think Gamboa is a beast but alot of flash. He's a little like Meldrick Taylor, Zab Judah, and others. Alot of flash that will make you think he's the best but I think Lopez has much more substance
Gamboa is Pac but Lopez is Mayweather

I still think Lopez is too much for him. Everyone loves the spectacular but Lopez is a master boxer/surgeon. I also think that CC is Mosley so I would like to see him in the mix. Just like we say that Mayweather vs Pac or Mosley is the bigger fight but Mosley-Pac is the far more exciting, I also feel that CC-Gamboa is the most exciting. I say have that fight 1st and the winner meets Lopez but I know that wont happened.
It will probably be Lopez-Gamboa with the winner meeting CC hopefully but I think Lopez like Mayweather, is the best of the trio. Gamboa like Pac will always look more spectacular so everyone will always pick him to win but the master boxer is going to win. Gamboa has crazy boxing skills also but Lopez is pure with his **** and he's a rangy Southpaw. Hard to beat if he's on his game. The problem is that he looks like he's getting shaky after 5 rounds now so he probably needs to soon move upComment

True but what does that really mean? I compare that to Mayweather-Burton. Lopez was probably fighting the record. He probably saw all the losses and thought he was a bum. After that everyone thought Chico would kill Floyd and we saw what happened. Thats how I feel about this. Everyone now think Gamboa is going to kill Lopez but he's going to embarrass him
Hmm.. I guess I see your point more than before... but Juanma is no Floyd.. not nearly as fast, or defense oriented... and not nearly as good footwork. Only thing they have in common is they are both methodicalLast edited by Syf; 01-23-2010, 11:33 PM.Comment

There are straight-up ****ers......
Mike Tyson, TommyMorrison , Julian Jackson, Edwin Valero, Manny Pacquiao, "YURIORKIS GAMBOA", etc.
Then there's the "BOXER" puncher.....
Pernill "Sweet Pea" whitaker, Sugar RayLeonard , Floyd Mayweather, "JUANMA LOPEZ".
Gamboa...Straight-Up ****er. (Pacquiao)
Lopez......Boxer, Puncher. (Mayweather)
This is what the TS was referring to.Comment

but I swear that if you didnt already know alot about Floyd and you saw a Floyd fight then saw a Pac fight then there is no way in hell most mainstream cats would pick Floyd. Now even alot of hardcore boxing people wont even pick Floyd. Thats how I feel about these 2. Gamboa is always going to look far more spectacular but I think Lopez has more real substanceComment
