I think Sturm nicked it, close but Sturm edged it. HBO weren`t gonna let the fans down because they were wanting Hopkins/De La Hoya so they gave it to De La Hoya.

I scored the fight 116-112 Sturm which I still remember though I lost my scorecard. During the fight I really tried to give possibly close rounds to DLH.
It was a robbery and it is beyond me how anyone with some sense could've possibly given the fight to DLH. All the judges scored the 12th for DLH which was a round that Sturm was clearly winning if I remember correctly.
Hopkins-DLH was too big. That's how the business works. I'm not bitter, over here in Germany the same things happen. The only thing that makes me wonder is how anyone can say that it could've gone either way. It was a clearcut UD hands down.
And I wont even comment on some of the comments about Felix Sturm. I've done this over and over again. Doesn't change a thing. Sad thing is that these posters will be the first to claim "told ya so" when he's the undisputed champ.Comment

The HBO commentators said it best:"Sturm was a part of something bigger than this fight" The fight was a commercial for the Hopkins/De La Hoya fight, there was no way in hell they were giving it to Sturm. What do you guys think HBO is going to lose all that money to be gained from Hopkins/De La Hoya. Oh and let's ALL JUST FORGET the fact that the WBO(title that was robbed from Sturm)was given 3% of the earnings from Hopkins/De La Hoya.
Fact is they just ripped Sturm's title away from him and said "**** you and have a very nice trip back to wherever the **** your from..." He was robbed, point blank!Comment
