Comments Thread For: Brian Viloria, Carlos Tamara Make Weight on The Scales

IBF light flyweight champion Brian Viloria tipped the scales without any trouble at 108 pounds in the official weigh-in at the Centennial Hall of the historic Manila Hotel but mandatory challenger Carlos Tamara of Colombia had to strip down completely after he initially weighed half-a-pound over the limit but made 108 on his second try. Tamara was technically knocked down against Gerardo Verde but it was clearly a slip.

Interesting that Garcia chose to be in Viloria's corner and not in Steven Luevano's.

He has much faith in Luevano's corner I could only guess.

Me too, considering that Luevano is fighting Juan Ma in US, while Viloria just fighting a guy far below his level!

Tamara was looking real sharp during his training camp and sparring with Jose"chily"Rivera was agreat experience for jose. All in all, while I'm not too familiar with Villoria,he is a champion and I expect to see a great fight with tamara coming out on top.that is my biased opinion due to the familiarity with El'Olimpico, sue me.
