What pisses me off about about HBO commentators

After the Cotto loss to Pacquiao they all talking **** saying "WILL COTTO EVER BE GREAT AGAIN?"

    And they all said NO.

WTF he lost to the hottest boxer on the planet and he fought good as hell and he will not be great again??

Did they all say no? I think Jim asked the question but I can't remember if they gave a straight answer.

They were probably considering the facts that he got hurt pretty badly against margarito and barely sc****d by clottey. I think those are major factors in their reasoning's. Cant say I blame them.

I think the blueprint is out, Cotto's defense is weak and he gets hit entirely too much. Maybe with an actual trainer he can improve but right now he's still the same fighter and anyone with the right gameplan can break him down again. Don't get me wrong i respect Cotto for being all heart but he needs to either improve or expect a short career cause he takes too much damage to have a career much longer.

in that fight...cotto proved his limits...he defined the level of fighter he was and who he could beat...cotto today would probably be crushed by shane...destroyed by mayweather...andre berto would give him a serious run...cotto basically peaked and, after that fight, signified that he was going downhill from there...i think it was just manny steward who said no...and i agree...

Showtime commentators are worse... they're so one-sided and over-exaggerate

It wasn't because he lost to Pac... it's what he has endured throughout his career.

Fights like the Margarito fight can take years out of your prime, he went through hell in the Clottey fight, and then got dismantled by Pac.

              It's a physicality factor.

They weren't wrong though. Cotto didn't just lose in his 2 defeats, he got destroyed, and not quickly either. They tried to give him props on HBO for hanging tough and not outright quitting. I don't think they disrespected Cotto.

It happens all the time. The same thing happened with Hatton.

Taking 2 bad beatings takes alot out of you physically and it does alot to your psyche as well.
