A Floyd win over Moseley is better than ANY win on Pacs resume.

Meanwhile Floyd is what he is, a wasted talent who has yet to be tested by a guy his size at Welterweight.
If Floyd beat a fighter Pac beat he would get no credit. If he went down in weight he would be considered to big if they come up in weight their too small

Idiots so what? Pac is a knockout artist Floyd is not how can you judge him based on whether he knocks out his opponent when he's a defensive fighter?

It's sounds like your saying attacking fighters are better than defensive fighters?

So long as Floyd wins in impressive style it does not matter if he knocks out Moseley.

This will be the best win for either fighter!

It'll only take one big win for Floyd and Pac to swap places.

I am aware that Floyd is a defensive fighter, and Pacquiao is an action fighter. That is not the point. Floyd has clearly been fighting lighter opposition when you compare his recent resume to Pacquiao's. If he beats Shane Mosley he will receive all of the props coming from me. However, let's be honest, he has cherry picked so many opponents, there is a reason he is tough to negotiate with if you are a worthy opponent, the guy throws wrenches into every negotiation. When has Pacquiao ever been tough to deal with during other negotiations?!? NEVER! When has Floyd?? How about, ALWAYS!

Pretty much!!! However, since we're talking Floyd and this is Boxingscene expect to catch hell for this statement. Mayweather vs Mosley has been the fight that I've anticipated moreso than any other fight since I've been a boxing fan. This fights been in the back of boxing fans minds before we knew who Pac, Cotto, Clottey, Hatton, Margarito, and Williams were. I have this funny feeling that Floyd wanted Shane as his 'final curtain call' however do to recent events it appears that Floyd will have to handle SSM first. Remember, Floyd vs Manny wasn't even thought of a possible fight until basically a year ago.

                The name, yes.

But a 38 year old Mosley compared to say 5 to 10 years ago that Mayweather should have fought?

                NO.

But Pacquiao fighting Morales, Barrera, Marquez in dizzying sequels? Then going up the weight ladder and beating Diaz, DLH, Hatton, Cotto (and hopefully Clottey) in also in a dizzying series of KOs, and TKOs?

Yes, an unprecented feat since Henry Armstrong.

And so resumés also isn't about the name but the timing, frequency and the fashion they were accomplished. That is a more thorough, complete and impressive than just the "name".

i think a mayweather win would be great considering shane is p4p number 3 and the number 1 welter, itd likely be the best win on his resume, and it would be interesting if he fights the number 2 p4p in marquez, the number 3 p4p in shane, and the number 1 p4p in manny. that would be a incredible run.

                    Nice post.

No doubt a victory over mosley would be impressive, but it would all depend on the performance and how he gets the victory.

Totally agree. To be honest, I personally feel that Shane vs. Floyd will be much more exciting than a fight with Pacquiao. And to be honest with you, I see Floyd beating Shane in my early prognosis simply because I feel the long layoff will leave Shane rusty and force him to lose vital rounds because of it.
