mo, i understand your point. i have been a boxing fan for a long time now and have been following manny even in his early days when he wasn't that popular yet. but telling me that fighting floyd is the only defining moment of his career is kinda absurd for me. for a boxing fan who followed manny, his career was clearly defined when he fought and defeated the likes of barrera, morales, marquez, then bigger fighters starting from diaz, the DLH, then ricky hatton, and finally miguel cotto. you just can't discredit those as not career defining. having 7 belts in 7 divisions? c'mon man, for a truly boxing fan, you should know better than that. i have to agree with you though that he still needs to fight floyd only because currently, they are the best in their division, and they are in their prime, and maybe defeating floyd may define his career some more.
I can get onboard with a lot of what you said...and you make some very, very valid points...I also applaud Manny for all of his past accomplishments...but for him to truly reach that upper crust of Boxing Masters I.E. SSR, ALI, Duran etc...He needs PBF - By the way I don't think PBF has reached that upper crust...YET!...I'm not preaching any gospel truths, as these are just my observations and opinions...but in the very least it's a very strong argument...
At least we're both pointed in the right direction...as I think, like myself, you want this fight to happen...Thanks for the intelligent response!!!
lets see pacquiao is taking on possibly 2 top welters that have near the top consistantly for years and people are dissing him? And if Pacquiao vs Floyd isnt happening now, what makes people think that its gonna happen down the line? Both fighters are moving on so good for both of them. i would have loved to see Pac vs floyd but if not no point in wasting on what could have been.
Yet you still have shown nothing that proves Mayweather has ever demaded 10 oz gloves. He sure didn't for his fight with Pacquiao. You also have had no response to the link below.
that article is **** and doesn't say anything. obviously he wore 10oz for oscar the fight was at 154 and that is the law you can't wear 8oz. I will bet all my points that IF floyd fights mosley it will be 10oz gloves they will be using. floyd is such a *****. 147 should be 8oz. it is everywhere in the world and only in nevada to you need both sides to agree to use them. floyd won't fight mosley with 8oz cause he knows he will ko'd.
Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank told BoxingScene.com that he is considering hosting a Manny Pacquiao fight at the new Meadowlands Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ in the Summer. Arum mentioned Antonio Margarito as a possible opponent. Margarito is still under suspension for attempting to use loaded handwraps in his fight against Shane Mosley a year ago. of course, once(and if) Mayweather beats Mosley he'd be the man at ww. and i know Pac isn't scared of Mayweather, but i think he's scared of the random blood tests he'll have to take. why? your guess is as good as mine.

You say that article is "****" because it exposes your lies. You also completely ignore the fact that Mayweather wanted 8 oz gloves for Hatton. You alo ignore the fact that Mayweather wanted the fight at 147 with 8 oz gloves and Oscar wanted the 10 oz gloves to slow Mayweathers hand speed. But what do you have? Again, show evidence that Mayweather ever demanded 10 oz gloves. Otherwise you're just making things up and lying like you always do.
ouch mayweather will have no chance to get the big payday?
Why not Just figth teh winner of Mayweather Mosley. Margarito shouldnt get any title shots since he has been suspended. He needs to work his way back up to the top

ha, nah sorry buddy but you don't get to fight a 38yr old who hasn't fought in 16months and be crowned the best in the best division in boxing. it would be a good start but there are a lot of big names at ww. pac's win over cotto was amazing but he still needs to beat a clottey and mosley to completely clean out the division. mayweather would still have to fight a pac, clottey, cotto or berto to be that man at that division.
