Unbelievable that he talks about giving fans what they want, and the next thing that comes out of his mouth is the Hopkins-Jones PPV.
Has a guy ever had a PPV fight immediately following a 1st round KO loss? **** HBO for this.Comment

I would have liked to hear why HBO has been ignoring Adamek for the past 3 years.
Sounds like April-May will be busy on HBO but man the bottom fell out for Jan-feb-march with a total of only 2 BAD cards.
Anyone know how long the Golden Boy guaranteed date "partnership" is scheduled to last? I'm not saying that's the whole problem but I hate seeing these fighters get signed (Ruiz) who will likely get shoehorned into those open dates.
And agreed, I don't think HBO should have anything to do with Hopkins-Jones II. Maybe use their distribution network but without the HBO brand. I'd hate to have to see Lampley and Merchant have to cover that crap AND not talk about how it's crap b/c they're charging $55 for it.
I am not a Greenberg fan. He seems a bit like a sports franchise owner that spends as much money as possible but never makes the playoffs. He needs to take a page from Dan Snyder and step back, hire a core boxing guy and let success come. Copping out to GBP with guaranteed dates seems like abdicating the duties as steward of the sport.Comment
