Khan should fight Maidana before he fights Marquez. They are picking Khan's fights so damn carefully, getting the names, but one who are smaller and over the hill.

1. Marquez looked sluggish at this weight, he was out boxed for the first 7 or 8 rounds against Diaz

2. Marquez is getting older and a defeat by FMJ aint helped him

3. Khan is actually a skilled fast boxer, way better than Juan Diaz who is like a ricky hatton type with no power.

4 Khan is bigger and faster than Marquez, he can jab and move on him all night, make him tired and knock him the F Out!

He was in trouble for the first few rounds with the pace of the fight, and the aggression, strength and youth of Diaz. But he started maintaining distance a little better, and timing Diaz, and took control and finished him.

this is a good fight. marquez is a great counter-puncher but khan is quicker and stronger. i doubt if marquez survive the full 12 rounds. marquez is too old for a fighter like khan.

I don't know if I can bring myself to have any resentment toward Khan for doing this? I view JMM as a way better fighter than Marcos Maidana is and he would beat him if he could handle 140 because Maidana is crude. Now if Khan goes after Malinaggi instead of Maidana he'll get ripped from me. But if he goes after a top ten P4P fighter while giving up the belt I won't rip him that much.

It is about risk and reward, so I'll bet the majority of you guys ripping Khan would do the exact same thing. Didn't Dawson vacate his belt to avoid a fight with Tavoris Cloud and instead fight Glen Johnson because it was a higher profile fight? That's no different.

plus cloud would have a much better chance at beating dawson.

however, i agree, maidana should get his chance. khan does have a weak chin though and maidana has good power.

khan size and speed will cause marquez problems. khan will beat marquez.
