Martinez and Williams are the frontrunners right now from what I know, HBO wants Pavlik-Williams but that's a little hard to make right now. And supposedly Williams' team are offering Martinez more money for a rematch so maybe Williams-Martinez 2 will happen instead, leaving Pavlik on the outside. In which case, I've heard Felix Sturm might be his opponent.

What is going on with middleweight? It's hit a really bad funk for a while. Pavlik's only interesting options are Martinez and Williams, and like others have said apparently he is going to fight Sergio.

Seriously though, I wish Pavlik and Martinez would square off, while simultaneously, Williams and Sturm as well. The two winners could then meet for what I reckon would be the undisputed middleweight championship of the world.

There's some good British fighters coming up at middleweight, Darren Barker and Mathew Macklin are ones to watch this year, especially this year for Macklin, world title shot in the works.
