the simple truth is that the klitschko brothers jab so much that their opponents dont often get a chance to go on the offensive. i consider this to be great fundamental boxing . I can look at some of my favorite fighters like Berto, RJJ, and PBF and imagine how much better they could or could have been if they were as commited to the jab as these guys. whether we consider they're styles boring or not they are great defensive and offensive fighters, it may not be crowd pleasing here in the US ,but it is highly effective. Sam Peter = exciting HW, Arreola= exciting HW, Rahman= exciting HW(although shot),Mike Tyson etc.etc. I think at the end of the day: wins/losses matter a lot more in the sport of boxing than style points.

I agree, they're not entertaining, but very effective. With that said, it doesn't make you popular nor does it make you the people's champ like Wlad claims he want to be to fight the way he does.

I agree with Wlad. Haye-Ruiz is a mismatch. I expect a ko before round 7 . But it will be good to see where Haye positions himself against a more agile heavyweight fighter (more agile than Valuev at least).

Ruiz has a good chance of winning and I would consider Ruiz the best opponent Haye will have faced.

Ruiz has some solid wins and knows how to upset the flow of offense and sneak in right hands before a clench.

I think Ruiz will pull it off and ruin all of the interesting HW plans.

Even if Ruiz has beaten better opposition... that doesn't mean he will beat Haye. Ruiz is getting old, he has many losses and he has been stopped before ( so does Haye, but only once, and on his feet). If Haye fights smart, he knocks Ruiz out. Haye has similar advantages over Ruiz to the ones Jones had over him, but he has better power (and Jones did buckle Ruiz).

I think, the term should be "quite similar" advantage of Haye, coz RJJ is far more faster than Haye and far more technical boxer. Ruiz was buckled due to the punch he didn't saw coming, and that was due to RJJ hand speed.

Nevertheless, Haye-Ruiz fight is a toss-up. Either boxer can upset the other, executing the right game plan & capitalizing on opponents weaknesses.

I want to see Ruiz-Tua 2. All Ruiz is to me is one of the many that got a savage Tua left hook in the 1st and that was that. I want to see it again!
