didn't he have to take the fight or be stripped? how is that going out of his way? if he didn't fight him that would be going out of his way to avoid him especially since he beat that cupcake salita just so he could keep his belt.

It's good Khan is doing it but it's what he should have done without question.

He has all the skills to outbox Maidana, wear him down, play it cautious because of Maidana's power, and take the points win. He could maybe stop him but it would be too big a risk to go in after Maidana, Maidana has oodles of power and more than enough to put Khan on his back for good.

It's a 70/30 fight for Khan, it would be more of a sure thing if he wasn't chinny, but he is so we have to give the big puncher Maidana a good chance.

And we have seen Maidana is very dangerous when he is hurt, he can back up when he is hurt and then lure you in to get clocked by one of his bombs.
