This is a watershed moment for Khan. He has been protected so far and fought the poorest opposition imaginable to get a world title. In fact it is hard to imagine an easier route to the top. Frank Warren has surpassed himself. With Warren as his promoter Khan has the perfect excuse for the padded record but has made claims that he wants to fight the best. Now he has broken with Warren we will see what his intentions are. If he really does want to fight the best and not play games he will take this fight,a fight that he can win. If he bails out expect to see a continuation of a safety first protected career.

If he doesn't take this he will be Calzaghe 2.0, but even worse. Joe just fought in Europe and wasted time there fighting the B level guys, he didn't really actively duck anyone, Khan however is chinny and more of a prospect/moneymaker than Joe was, so expect Khan to be protected, taking lots of low risk high pay fights against washed up names until such a time as when his appeal is waning, people are fed up with his lack of comp, so they will throw him in with a puncher, possibly get him KO'd, ditch him, and then build up the next superstar who doesn't lift a finger to get anywhere.

Yeah I know. But similar protection.

and you are right, I disliked Joe but he could fight, he was awkward as hell and was smart and versatile, Amir is very good but chinny as ****, and it will inevitably cost him at least 3-4 more times in his career.

ye thank **** he has left frank warren, his career will only benefit due to that

i know his chin will never be solid, but i feel it will be improved at 140,compared to how weak it was at 135
