Contrary to some of the reports in Argentina, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer advised BoxingScene.com that a deal has not been reached to have Amir Khan defend his WBA 140-pound title against mandatory Marcos Maidana on April 17 in Las Vegas. Schaefer asked the WBA for permission to postpone Monday's purse bid for two weeks in order to give his company more time to finalize a deal. id want the fight to happen even if it wasnt khans mandatory,the fact that it is just gives it more reason too happen.maidana is a very dangerous opponent,but i think its the right test for amir right now,id be very confident in him winning the fight aswellComment
