The fact is that the Pac-Clottey fight will take away from Mayweather-Mosley's overall PPV buys.
If Goldenboy wants to maximize the PPV potential, they won't put it on the same weekend.
Its the difference between 1.4 million and 1.1 million. But if that small loss results in the total humiliation of Pacquaio and Bob Arum for all the bs theyve put GBP through, it would be the sweetest 300k Schaefer ever spent.
This would also put Mayweather in a 60/40 bargaining position in a future pacfight. The reward outweighs the risk.
I'm a fan of Pacquiao, but Mosley-Mayweather is a fight I've been wanting to see for many years. It's such an intriquing matchup wouldn't miss it (mind you, Pacquiao-Mayweather would be the best matchup of all).
You're right, this is Floyd's opportunity for revenge on Arum if the fight is on March 13.
If ever May-Shane fight, it will not happen on March 13 .There will be too many stumbling blocks Floyd's camp will put up along the way.Poor Shane, he has to start from scratch again, has to pay the camp members though for his cancelled fight with Berto. The Floyds can't do revenge on Arum. they can only do it if Jr. fights the Pacman in the ring.
I think one they wouldnt have the fights on at the exact same time and a lot of ppl would buy both fights. If Pac fought mosley, the viewing figures wouldn't be much different.
First off, I think if Mayweather/Mosley gets signed, itll most likely happen on the May 1st date.
But how badass would it be if Mayweather/Mosley occurs on the same date as Pacquiao/Clottey...who do you think wins that PPV battle?
Im thinking Mayweather/Mosley does 1.2 million and Pacquiao does an impotent 160k LOL!!!
*******s, which fight are you buying?
why would you want them to fight on the same date? that sucks for us boxing fans i would like to watch both and i personally dont give a **** about either fights ppv numbers because i wont see one dollar from either camp. all true fans of boxing should hope for seperate dates so that we can enjoy watching both fights live
