Tell me young man, out of your 806 posts, how many make reference to Mr.Mayweather?

Most of them considering Mayweather, Pacquiao, is the dominant topic in the sport. Though I may have only joined boxingscene recently, trust me when I tell you I am an old school fan of the sport. If this was the Ali era, most of my post would be about Ali, if this was the SRL, Hagler, Hearns, Duran, era, most of my post would be about them. If this was the Tyson era, most of my post would be about him. Boxing isn't baseball, basketball, football, etc ... Our sport is dictated by the individual personalities of its biggest stars.

No everyone does not get a shot in boxing, only the best gets attention, only the best gets debated and discussed. Maybe thats not a good thing but thats how boxing works. Boxing is concerned with only the best not all the rest.

i dont see how people can say he never fights bigger opponents? mosley was towering over him did you see that? nobody thought floyd would survive 1 punch from de la hoya. and a lot of us thought hatton would be bigger and had a chance. a lot of us got excited when hatton knocked him back in the first round. coralles make him look tiny. so did ndou. gatti was supposed to fuck him up. just he makes it look easy doesnt mean he always takes easy fights..

let's not forget he made a hit list that included mosley not too long ago.. let's wait and see if he makes the hits. anyone remember who was on the list??

So basically you are saying that you are a casual fan then,as no real fan of the sport would only be interested in a couple of fighters. That is frankly one of the most ridiculous statements of the day,and trust me, there has been some absolute howlers!

                People, the truth is...

I don't even know why Floyd is included in the Pound-for-pound list ?!!

He's been a welterweight for years now and he doesn't have any of the elite welters on his resume (no Williams, Margo, Cotto, Mosley, Collazo, Cintron, Berto, and now not even Pacquiao)

His last two fights were with JMM (a lightweight) and Hatton (a junior welter) !

For the life of me I cannot figure out how this is pound-for-pound worthy !!!

                Fair assessment I think.

i also think both floyd and pac have used PEDs some time in their careers.. i always thought floyds retirement was about that. no drug tests! and he trained the whole time and now his head is bigger too. instead of a peanut head it's rounder like a milk dud

If hardcore fans spend all their time discussing every fight and fighter out there then why is the forum and many others dominated by Mayweather-Pacquiao threads??? In case you didn't know, the sport of boxing itself, its promoters, commissions, networks etc..are greatly concerned with the chess moves of Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Does that make the sport of boxing itself casual?

i find it hard to beleive mayweather thought up the steroid tests at the last minute. dont you think it's timed to mess with pac's head a little? pac has a lot on his table, movies, politics. now he's got this assload of **** he doesn't need going on. all while fighting clottey and maybe mayweather after. doesnt seem easy
