FMJ - beating Baldormir (who is no longer ranked @ WW) does not secure a spot for 4+ years.
PWill - No longer a WW, have to fight in the division in order to be ranked in it.
Marg - In my book he's starting back at the bottom and has to earn his way back. We don't know how good he is without bricks, besides, he's not even licensed.

The whole point of ranking is to be objective, something your obviously unable to do.

Guapgetta uses ebonics on the internet. His Rep Power = 0, in the red, & he is 18 years old. Most important to note, his join date was Jan. 2010. No credibility whatsoever & this is probably one of many alternate usernames he possesses throughout the forum.

And by the way Guapgetta, just to let you know, Australia is not located in Europe!

Thanks bro. I just feel that some rankings mentioned by other posters are completely preposterous. Specifically, PBF included in the top 5 along with Paul Williams & Antonio Margarito. Why? Well I already went into a discussion of why PBF does not deserve to be ranked...As for Paul Williams, it's the same issue. He hasn't fought in the welterweight division since his win over Carlos Quintana in 2008. And as for Margarito, as another poster has mentioned, he would be included with all the "bottom-feeders" of the division and have to move his way up the ladder, and the fact of the matter is does Margarito even have a license to fight as of the moment? Another key issue is the simple fact that he has been inactive since his "plastering" incident, I have a feeling that he may have to come back at light middleweight unless he has been training and such...But I stand firm that the WW division rankings should be:

        1. Shane Mosley (Lineal WW Champ)
        2. Manny Pacquiao
        3. Andre Berto
        4. Miguel Cotto
        5. Joshua Clottey

Some may say that Clottey deserves to be ranked above Cotto after the controversial decision at Madison Square Garden, BUT I beg to differ simply because a Win is a Win! But these rankings will drastically change since Berto has pulled out against Mosley, Cotto is moving up in weight to challenge Yuri Foreman at Light Middleweight, & now PBF will hopefully (and I stress the word, hopefully!) put his undefeated record on the line against SSM, along with the pending result of Pac-Clottey.

One thing that we must all remember is that Divisional Rankings have a different critera from the Pound4Pound Rankings.

It's really irritating to have these sort of posters on our forum when as "true" boxing fans we are trying to have a reasonable discussion and are forced to read bullS**T like that. It is no surprise to me if he has 3 aliases here, I honestly thought that he may have more, maybe 6 or so...

Mosley stayed on top imo because he faught most of the WW out there. Manny should be second but if he keeps fighting at WW he should be number 1 because of the P4P title

                @RockyB

This sums up Mayweather's career. Being ranked by some in the top 5 of the welterweight division, YET, not even fighting one legitimate welterweight in years...NOT just the past year or year before but over 3 years ago!

The fact that during an HBO PPV, that I cannot specifically recall, Juan Manuel Marquez was proclaimed as the lineal lightweight champion...This HBO PPV took place after the Mayweather-Marquez debacle...It makes Mayweather's victory laughable considering he is a welterweight (although he came in as a Middleweight, refusing to tip the scales on fight night) fighting the LINEAL Lightweight champ...A true travesty for the sport...The whole logic of the fight being legitimate considering that JMM was ranked #2 Pound4Pound in the world, is ridiculous...It begs the question that if Ivan Calderon had been #2 Pound4Pound, would PBF take the fight? But yet again I digress...

BUT let me put a disclaimer regarding this issue...If PBF can beat SSM, then you can put PBF into the top 5 of the welterweight division...One can argue, with legitimacy & evidence, that PBF would be the #1 Welterweight in the division if he beats the Lineal Welterweight Champ, SSM...But we have yet to see...

I dont know how Pacquiao can be top 2 to be honest. Hes had two fights at welterweight, both of which he made his opponent drain in weight, Hoya and Cotto. Mosley has been compaining at 147 lbs throughout his career and is the current WBA champ. Cotto reaigned as champ for 2 years, beating some great boxers in that period. Floyd Mayweather is my number 1 welterweight.

I agree pretty much with Rocky B., but seeing as how Cotto beat Mosely, i got it
                    1. Pacquiao
                    2. Cotto
                    3. Mosley
                    4. Mayweather
                    5. Clottey
This is a hard decision to make...lol. I had to really think it over.
