Thanks for the reads and replies guys, much appreciated. I don't get some of the criticism of Froch. A fighters takes on crap opponents fight after fight and he gets a load of stick. This guy takes on the best he can meet for eight (with Pascal and Taylor thrown in) straight fights, and he gets a load of stick! How can this be?

Sure, he's take some shots in recent fights, but he is not taking on the likes of Brussels or a HBO sponsored human punchbag like Mayorga, he is taking on decent fighters, of course he'll have rough moments and get hit.

We can't have it both ways. Floyd and Manny have recently acted like a pair of prize pillocks, scuppering the most meaningful fight left in the business, and yet they'll always get showered with praise. Floyd has taken on some poor fights in recent times so no wonder he can look silky in every one of his bouts. Scrub some of the names out, throw in Williams, Shane or Cotto and we may have seen Floyd take a few and have some sticky moments, this will never happen though, as Floyd does not fight the very best in consecutive fights, and to be fair he doesn't have to as HBO would let him batter Sandra Bernhard live on PPV.

Froch may get hit, he may not be slick but, unlikes some fighters, he is not keeping the sport in the dark ages by taking low-risk, high-reward fights. More power to his elbow.

As for his chat, people are giving him gyp on a forum for talking himself up, yeah right, like we don't do this ourselves on forums. F me, 20-year-old nerds with acne and who are engaged to be married to their right hand come online and talk like Mr T, so why shouldn't a legitimate world champon talk himself up a bit, he may not have a gazillion posts and rep points but he's doing alright for himself! He's earned the right.

In a time where Manny and Floyd are prancing like primmadonnas and getting the biggest paydays for low risk fights, people need to pay attention to the Super 6 tournament-these guys deserve more attention as it really is as close to the basic notion of the best fighting the best. It has it's own natural drama from the sport itself- in the ring, not from each others bizzarro contract demands,court-cases,etc.
Boxing fans want to see boxing-not bull**** ".

I read some interviews he has on boxing scene were he talks bad about Joe Calzaghe and he puts his input in every topic regarding boxing. He even had a war of words with Amir Khan who isn't even in his weight class. If England ever produced a worse highly known boxer then Carl Froch I would be shocked. Every Fighter England seems to produce is complete trash. Hatton to Froch and in MMA Bisping. Ben Nigel and Chris Eubank were great fighters don't get me wrong but Froch will never be on the same playing field. I would be surprised if he see's round 9 with kessler and abraham. I hope following his losses to Kessler and Abraham Froch gets found dead somewhere.
If someone dislikes the talent and ability of Froch here on this site, it's me, but I would never dare to say the things you said. I believe you crossed the line.

            I wish Froch had skills

If Froch had the talent required by his great warrior mentality, he would be one of the most highly regarded boxers in the world. With that said, I'm not as confident as I was in the beginning that Kessler will walk through him. Froch is pretty awkward, and he did beat Pascal (a better fighter talent wise) by throwing him off his game with that awkwardness. Since Kessler has trouble adapting, it may become hard for him. But if Kessler keeps Froch at range, at the end of his jab, it's going to be a destruction . Froch best chance is to brawl in close quarters.

I thought Froch lost to Direll, but that was a very good interview. He seems like a guy who has a fighters mentality, but he should really give Ward his credit, what does he mean by it wasn't a schooling? Ward won every round and dominated Kessler, beating him from pillar to post. His fight with Kessler will eb a toss up.

Frocho is a joke jajajaja. You mean Ward never schooled Kessler but how about how you "beat" Dirrell? You LOST that fight dude, should be quiet as a mouse.

I understand he's trying to promote his own fight but damn that is irritating! I just hope he can either win or lose a fight conclusively.

Kessler keeps an open guard. Froch very well could 'win' conclusively versus him.

Why are the American's so high on Andre Ward? He won the fight, but to say it was pretty or 'dominating' is going overboard. Kessler's face was a mess after the billy goat fight.

It was stopped because of Wards HEAD and not his FIST !!
