Ricky Hatton vs Miguel Cotto @ Yankee Stadium

I made a thread back in October about a fight between the two and I got a lot of bad replies. Since then, Pac went on to crush Miguel Cotto. Seeing how Miguel Cotto is two fights away from retiring, and Hatton is coming back for one last fight, is this the best fight for both fighters?

If Cotto gets past Foreman, which I know he will, what other fights would be available for his last bout? He is not gonna fight Margarito (for various reasons), Floyd won't take a fight with him, Mosley will be tied up, and their are no other "Marquee" names to make a big fight that will let Miguel go out in a ****.

With Hatton, I just don't see him making 140 so you can pretty much rule out Marquez. I also see little to no point in a rematch with Mayweather and Pacquiao, and with Khan, I think GBP will want to get 1 or 2 fights under his belt before they throw him in their with Ricky.

So what do you guys think? Do you see this fight being made later this fall?

BTW I say Ricky will fight two fights instead of one, then call it quits. I see him facing Cotto this fall, then win or lose, taking on Khan in England.

Nope, no point in it, Hatton is no match for Cotto @ 147.

Here is my thread from back in October-

Some of my favorite replies from it:

      "Ricky is not coming back"

"when was the floyd fight ever close, floyd won virtually every round!!!!"

I feel Hatton is looking for a farewell fight; he probably wants to remember his last fight, he was the winner.. So definitely he would rather pick a descent boxer but winnable for him..

In a way I like the thought, a semi-final moment for each man.

But then I thought how it might be named "Pac's Leftovers" and it lost some of the zest.

I'm willing to bet he fight two more fights instead of one. Khan vs Hatton in the UK will be made for sure.

Cotto would beat the pulp out of Hatton.
