Amir Khan has announced a deal with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions to help the British fighter consolidate his status in the United Status

at the bottom of this article it says

An opponent, date and location for Khan's next fight will be announced shortly, according to Golden Boy, with the mandatory challenger Marcos Maidana the most likely candidate.

Yeah read that in the other thread - PLEASE fight and spank this guy Amir!!!

**** even if he got stopped himself id prefer it. Really hope he defends his title.

Khan is so exciteing not just because he throws his punches at 2.3million miles a second, puts his combos together effortlessly and has a huge heart BUT because He CAN be hurt, dropped, even stopped - as with David Haye it just adds to the excitement! I like a fighter with a bit of vulnerability

One good thing though,is that if Khan does fight Malignaggi at least we wont have to listen to any more of Paulie's drivel.

aaprt from signing with golden boy is anythign else confirmed? I think he will fight maidana next but roach wants to profit out of that bout by building Khans name first and of course people obvs know maidana after the ortiz fight, the fight would be hyped up if he beats malignaggi then goes onto maidana

Khan is an ok boxer I might talk crap about him sometimes but he's ok...His style is not the one I like...After watching the presscot re run I came to realize that this guy will probably not fight a power puncher withing probably two years...when his body frame matures...He has good timing and clenching but he looks soft at 140...and if he moves up he won't have that much KO power left and he'll face harder devistating punchers like Berto or Ortiz when he moves up in weight...
