      wow, Floyd makes a statement that's completely contradictory to the past several years of his career. What a shock.

      The belt thing is a given, but he didn't seem to have a problem with it when pursuing a Zab Judah fight even after Judah lost to Baldomir. Or going after Gatti even when Kostya Tszyu was the real champ.

      The division statement is a joke. He has a problem with so many divisions... yet no problem with scanning lower weight classes to serve as his opponents rather than looking at other welterweights.

      One belt per division sounds great in theory, and really is the way it should be. But until boxing is better regulated, you'll always have fighters (like Floyd, but also many others) who will find a way to abuse their power once at the top.
