Miguel Cotto vs the Greatest PR fighters?

I think Cotto wants a title at 154 so he can tie PR fighters Trinidad, Gomez, Camacho and Benitez who won in 3 different titles. On the Boxing History forum we discussed how high cotto should be in the history of PR boxers. I have him top 15 but not top 10. How does he stack up against competition?:

PAST CHAMPS Wilfred Benitez: (youngest champ ever) Sixto Escobar, Wilfredo Gomez, Jose Torres, Carlos Ortiz, Edwin Rosario, Juan Laporte, Esteban Dejesus(beat Duran as LW), Carlos Deleon(CW champ 3x), Felix Trinidad, Hector Camacho, Samuel Serrano, Raul Montanez(greatest PR not to win title beat greats), Wilfredo Vasquez( 2 div champ)

RECENT CHAMPS: Ivan Calderon, Daniel Santos(2 division champ beat margocheater), Kermit Cintron(only official losses 2 margocheater-questionable draw against Martinez), Luis Collazo, Juan Manuel Lopez

I can see him being in the latter half of the top 10.

People forget how solid his run at 140 was.

In my opinion, the Margarito fight stunted his growth as an elite fighter!!Especially with there now being controversy surrounding Margarito's legitamacy!!Cotto may have become top 5 easily!!

He is one of the GREATEST PR boxers of all time. Many should have him top 10 but top 5 is reasonable too. He still has a couple great fights in him so i wouldn't be suprised if he wins a couple more big fights.

Cotto really is not that great. He never fought elite comp at 140 and he never fought a champ for their belt at 147, and even his best win at 147, against Shane, was a tossup.

really.... another cotto blind hater. He was awesome at 140 and since he has been up at 147 he has just fought everyone and anyone.

o yeah rerember when he was the underdog against quintana it was f'n contest. Cotto had everything but there is two things that hurt him 1 the margarito fight and two his stuborness when it came to his corner. But cotto will always be one of my all time favs and my second fav. boriqua fighter behind tito. No one will pass tito as my favorite absolutley no one.
