  • Toney adds to Heavyweight Divisions sad shape

It seems as though Mr. Toney demonstrated the type of class that one might expect from such a seasoned sophisticate. He said, and I quote: "(Ruiz) is ******. But I take my hat off to him for giving me a shot." Perhaps the Heavyweight division got exactly what it needed to help improve its pathetic state: a first-rate degenerate as its spokesman. Ruiz should be ashamed of himself for loosing to a guy who looks like the type of person who takes your garbage from the curb. The heavyweights are a joke. It needs an Ali type star now more than ever to restore it back to some resemblance of a sport.

I was never a big Lennox Lewis fan, but I sure do miss watching him fight. I don't get how there used to be so many great heavyweights and promising prospects and now it seems like there is no hope, even in the amateurs and Olympics. I guess all the big guys are playing football and basketball, where the real money is at.

I do not think the Heavyweight fighters are sad. Vitali is a great champion, because when he fights, there are no judging and decisions. Vitali lets his gloves decide the results, not the judges.

Vitali has one of the best number of knockouts. But, almost all of Toney's fights are decided by the judges. I do not think judges are exciting.

I wish it was not difficult for the champions to fight each other. Vitali is the only true champion. Vitali is the only champion who wants to fight other champions.

the Div is fine, and Toney will prove to be a Great HW. Ruiz is a good fighter, it's just toney is so good he makes everyone else seem so bad.

          hmm

Then you have guys like Audley Harrison who might be good but by the time they wise up and get out of Frank Warren's world (aka England) they are 35.

Toney is good, but aside from his handspeed, he seems to be just another Lamon Brewster; he has power, chin, and decent defensive skills. Beating someone better than Ruiz will help his reputation big-time. The only people I've seen hyping Toney up have been on boxingscene. I've never heard anyone saying Toney is badass, would KO VK, etc. in the REAL WORLD.

if VK wants to fight champions, then he wouldn't be fighting people that ruiz already beat (K.Johnson, Rahman) or Sanders who lost to Rahman. Toney will be the 1st to unify a title.

Toney maynot KO VK, but he will win the fight and thats all that matters. I like Brewster but Toney is much better then him, which says alot because Brewster is a champion, who also KO'd Wlad. Heart goeas a long way in boxing

It don't matter whose leftovers VK knocks out in less than half the fight He still knocks them out and he'll knock your boy Toney out easily. I wish this fight happened tommorrow just to shut all you people up and I'm not really even a fan of VK!! I just know enough to know that Toney doesn't stand a chance. VK is STILL head and shoulders above the rest of the division, literally.

Toney is just the same as the rest of em, what we need is a young and talented boxer who has room for improvment, What we need is Sam The Nigerian Nightmare Peter's.
