          I disagree with gloves, but **** referee's can certainly play a part in it. The biggest thing is fighters trying to cheat down to an unhealthy weight and than rehydrate again because they think they have time.

            It usually happens in the lower weight classes. The reason being that the little guys most of the time lack ko power. Leading to repeated blows to the head without showing any ill effects. If there are no signs the ref is going to let them ****, and sometimes this can lead to serious brain trauma or death.

                  i'm really interested to see a list of all ring casualties since 1980...im sure we can find an underlying factor...i'm not quite sure what it is, but i threw that out because i know its one of the reasons that these tragedies happen


                  also, mismatches and shady commissions...like in thailand where the practice is still prevalent today

                    I doubt yall gon agree with me..but something is just wrong with grown men weighing 105, 108, 112, 115, 118 etc..I love the little guys but I think something has to be said about guys that small beating each other over the head.
