Would you let your kid be a boxer?

    even if they want enthusiastically???

I'm not gonna let him.because I don't want my kid be dameged in their brain.
although I love this sport, I'm not gonna recommend him to do boxing at all..it's too dangerous

Luckily I have a daughter but if I did have a son and if this is the sport that he chooses to give his all in, I would have to let him continue. I would make sure he knows all the facts and show him Terry Norris b4 and after..

I think as a parent you will have to do the leg work as far as giving your son the proper team around him while he boxes in order to make sure he is improving his skills and most importantly monitor his health

Boxing has taught me to be a completely different, and positive person. I'm definitely forcing my child into the gym, whether he wants to compete or not, he's going in haha.

          LMAO!..great answer..

My younger son seems more interested..he's 3..and he has gloves and mitts..and he's already learning the basic punches..(jab, hook, cross)

we're gonna start to combo them and footwork sometime soon..don't wanna push him too hard yet and discourage him..while he still sees it as only fun hitting something..

but I plan on pushing him to the gym..and if it becomes a passion for him..he'll decide if he wants to compete or not..

Definitely would want him in a gym so he could learn to handle himself. I wouldn't want him being a professional boxer though.

I've forced my kid to fight since he was 3.

I've been molding him to be the next Mike Tyson.

He said he wanted to be a professional dancer so I dropped him off in a ****** with money strapped to his back and let him fight his way home. He survived. It taught him to be tough and it was a great life lesson. He currently trains 12 hours a day. He doesn't go to school. His school is watching boxing.

My boy is 19 months old, he can barely speak yet asks me to watch boxing all the time, he throws the 1-2 well and always adds a dodgey sound effect with it! Its not really funny but he's already been in trouble at nursery for hitting other kids, gonna have to calm him down! He laughs his ass off when someone gets dropped i had to rewind the first count Ortiz took against Maidana like 30x for him lol!

Im very tempted to push him hard and early but ive got some serious questions to ask myself first.

When I have a son he WILL box, if nothing more than just to learn discipline and self defense....

I wouldn't let my girl be a boxer, cause she's too pretty - but if i have a boy or an ugly girl later they can be boxers
