Letter sent to ESPN OMBUDSMAN, RE: Teddy Atlas

Unfortunately, boxing is not a priority for ESPN, as with most television networks these days. The market share doesn't justify or warrant even an acknowledgement of the obvious journalistic grievance that Atlas made during a recent FNF telecast.
I doubt that ESPN brass would even read the letter. I'm sure Atlas gets a fair share of fan letters that go into the bin every week.
Now, if this happened during the telecast of the National Spelling Bee or the World Series Poker on ESPN or heck, even the Westminster Dog Show, they'd be in a heap of trouble.
There's a reason ESPN called their premier boxing show Friday Night Fights on ESPN - because most people are out on Friday nights.Comment

Floyd is STILL the Lineal Champ ..... And all this BS could have been avoided with just a little compromise on both Pac's and Floyd's part.
So, don't get your panties in a bunch just because Atlas made a statement against Pacman's team - It is allowed, you know!!Comment

your boys getting fired....because of a gellow NSB members letter....hahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaha hahhaha you know

I would have worked both ways. They're both champs.
Taking tests, being clean, and beating the opponent would look much better in the public eye than just leaving close to $40 million dollars on the table or in a suitcase.
It might have been more understandable to avoid tests on both sides if it pertained to a normal non-title fight with much less money at stake.Comment

Pac agreed to the test with 24-day window. Whats the problem?I would have worked both ways. They're both champs.

To be honest ... ESPN is probally happy they're getting all this attention these days. Remember controversy sells!!!!!!!
Want to make an e-bet that Atlas will remain online at ESPN and might even get more air-time.Comment

He already offered enough compromises which include agreeing to take a test right after the fight. What kind of bogus science will tell you that this is not enough? It is Mayweather that kept demanding more. Agreeing to it proves nothing (he will be found negative, of course) except being look like a submissive wife submitting to a wife beater. (WhoTF is Mayweather?) It's humiliating. Besides, the random testing was something that was just casually thrown around like teenagers' banters which is yet to be implemented. It seems arrogant not to ask the proper commission first. It's a shame it has come to this, but Manny allowed it to happen.
The majority of the boxing public and even the casual fan would agree to getting tested, one boxer even inviting anyone to test his pubic hairs during his fight, for the chance to collect a guaranteed $30-$40 million dollars for 36 minutes of work.
Taking the test would've avoided all the drama.Comment
