James is one of my favorites. I try to rep all my Michigan boys(except Mayweather).
Does anybody here not like James Toney?

How can you call someone out for a year, fight them and then duck them? Toney wanted a rematch with Jones at lhw as well.Last edited by General Zod; 01-15-2010, 06:36 AM.Comment

Got no time for Toney now.
He talks trash and it ain't funny most of the time.
He should just quit boxing before he turns into more of a joke.Comment

He is an ignorant, albeit very talented.Comment

How can you not love this guy:
He was on theboxingtruth.com radio earlier in the week which is available for download if anyone wants to check it out. Despite all the trashtalking which is mainly just about getting in people's heads, I think he's a good guy. He was answering everyone's questions on that show and even called back in when his phone got cut off during one of the questions. He threw in some gems to like calling Hopkins "Ol' snaggle tooth ass".Last edited by βetamax; 01-15-2010, 06:51 AM.Comment

Why what are some of bad things about Robinson the person?I wouldn't say I'm a fan of him as a person, not that I've ever met him but I've heard quite a bit. It's the same as with fighters such as Jake LaMotta, Carlos Monzon, even Ray Robinson, I don't have to admire their character in order to enjoy watching them box. I enjoy watching James Toney box.
Im intrigued.Comment

I don't mind guys that talk, but I just don't like James Toney. He's one of those guys who always complains and always vastly overrates himself. I respect him as a fighter and what he has done in his career, but that's it.Comment

I saw this documentary about James Toney and by all accounts his father is a piece of ****, he apparently shot Toney's mothers. In the doc Toney's mother said she saw a lot of James's father in James.Comment

Are you serious? You have never heard about his constant cheating and wife beating. I think it was due to his beatings that his wife had two miscarriages. You should watch that Documentary on him Sugar Ray Robinson: The Bright Lights and Dark Shadows, you will find it enlighteningComment
