Well then he peaked really, really early. He was at the Wright-Williams fight on April 11 with shiners under both eyes.

I know Bunce said on his Setanta that the rumors were Erislandy Lara beat up Hatton in sparring.

Either way, it's a lame excuse IMO.

The article title is pretty misleading. Hatton doesn't outright blame Sr. for the loss, he just says that the way Sr. conducted the camp meant he peaked too early and therefore felt the only way he could win was to land a lucky punch. That is why he fought the way he did. He isn't saying "Mayweather Sr. is the reason I lost." Sr. is just part of the scenario.

yeah exactly, he didn't say it about Sr. at all. He just said he trained too hard.

        the last line is good:
every single champion at light-welterweight is a possibility."
        he's lookin at 140

IMO he would have lost anyway sooner or later he would have gotten ko'd, even if they fought again he would get ko'd....

If he comes back to fight Marquez, he will lose.

          Overrated period.

What Hatton himself doesn't realize is that he was trained as a brawler\Club Fighter by Grahm his whole career and when Floyd Sr. came in he began training as a boxer. Therefore he peaked early, because he was not accustomed to training as a boxer before. Hell, he had never worked the mitts before ... So, to blame anyone other than himself is lame. Floyd Sr. gave him solid advice while he was able .... Hatton just didn't listen. And Pacman just capitalized on his faults and KO'ed him.

Floyd Sr. did nothing wrong pre-fight or during the fight - after Hatton got clipped, well that's another story.

And if he fights JMM - he will get creamed. Count on it!!!!!!!

Hatton is Hatton. Let him get his come back fight and be done with it. Whoever he fights, so long as it's a credible opponent, he should know by then that he's done.

What happened to Beard. If he wants to fight some more let him do it. A JMM fight would be entertaining.

Come on now Ricky. I used to love him but hes one of those guys who is just a terribly sore loser and can never just admit, hey I got my ass kicked. I still like the guy but not too much after a loss because there is always some new blame coming up.
