That would be the only logical choice for Floyd. If he wants to shake the "ducker" rep, he needs to do this Mosley thing. Financially, it makes sense. It would make him a ton of money and it would probably out-do Pac/Clottey. This would give him leverage if they decide to re-visit a Pac/Mayweather bout later in the year. If he chooses an opponent before this Berto/Mosley fight, he is clearly ducking.

      1. Fantasy scenario. I'm sure Floyd fans will jump all over this one: Floyd is waiting for Mosely/Berto. He is planning on busting up Shane's victory party in the ring by calling him out ala Kanye West/Shane Mosley. (This would be ****ing awesome, I would jump back on the Floyd band wagon if he did this, but personally I don't think Floyd has the stones)

      2. This is the most realistic scenario: Team Mayweather is scrambling to find Floyd an opponent before the Mosley/Berto fight. This will give him a reason not to fight Berto/Mosley. Unfortunately, I'm more inclined to believe this one.
Im with Dominicano. Again, why cant Floyd do both? He shouldnt wait for Mosley-Berto. He should fight someone like Cintron and then fight the Mosley-Berto winner. I dont understand why people keep saying it like he cant do both. I just dont get that

I think Floyd is being silent because he's waiting until the Mosley/Berto aftermath before deciding on an opponent.

I would be shocked if he fights on March 13 at this point. It wouldn't be an issue for him because he trains non-stop regardless of whether he has a fight coming up, but GBP has two months to put together a fight and promotion for whoever he's fighting and to go up against Top Rank/Pacquiao/Clottey. I don't think it's realistic.

There's been a lot going on behind the scenes in his camp lately. First with trying to secure and subsequently salvage a Pacquiao fight, and now figuring out a viable next opponent. Once his future is a bit clearer in his mind and maybe once he doesn't have that silly lawsuit hanging over his head we'll start to hear more from him again.

If it was me then I would have Floyd fight Cintron in early Arpil, hope that Mosley wins by brutal KO, and then fight Mosley in late July

reason #3 They can't find any available welterweight out there that he can beat easily. And everybody already know he's going for either a Lt.welterweight or a lightweight to pick a fight with.

Without sounding like a hater, that reason is the most believable to me.

How can floyd be waiting for the winner of the mosley-berto fight? Berto is a HAymon fighter right? And this is the reason why he can't fight williams. So if anything, he's just waiting to see if mosley still has it or not, and probably wishing mosley pulls it off.

well I imagine people are thinking he's trying to keep some time open for a possible match-up with Pac. If he fought Cintron in March, then he fought Mosley or Berto in Aug/Sept then the PAc fight wouldn't happen til next year.
