what did tarver do since hopkins? what did winky do? how much weight did winky have to put on to fight hopkins? what was the result against calzaghe? how much weight did he have to put on? what did pavlik do since hopkins? how much weight did he have to put on?

the fact is a former welterweight champion is favoured to beat pavlik and already beat winky. that tells you how good of a win those two are.

That arguement is ******ed. Tarver was a 4-1 favorite and hopkins went up two weight classes at the age of 40.

What people do AFTER they lose is irrelevant - it's like saying Calzaghe's win over Jeff Lacy wasn't good because Lacy didn't do **** after. The fact is Tarver was coming off of wins over Roy Jones & Glen Johnson.

                    what did winky do?
He went in hiding for approximately 2 years?!?

how much weight did winky have to put on to fight hopkins?
                    10+ pounds?

Winky wasn't the greatest win for hopkins, and winky obviously isn't a true 170 pound fighter, but it's a win for hopkins against a guy that nobody wanted to fight at the time.

what was the result against calzaghe?
A very close split decision loss.

The fact remains he fought him, an undefeated guy that throws millions of punches. Why did hopkins lose? Did he get his ass kicked? No. The fight came down to punch output, and the judges didn't like hopkins not throwing as many punches as calzaghe in the mid to late rounds. That's what the fight came down to. Anytime you have a guy who's 43 years old fighting a guy who's entire game is based on tremendous punch output, it's going to be difficult. And hopkins nearly pulled it off and even scored a knockdown. Again, how is that being a fraud?

how much weight did he have to put on?
Zero pounds. Calzaghe walked around at the time at 190+ pounds. He stated numerous times that 168 was nearly impossible for him to make anymore and revealed his plans to go to Light Heavyweight with or without hopkins. Calzaghe was indeed a legit and natural LH at the time and he further proved that by looking so good against Jones.

what did pavlik do since hopkins?
                    Refer to Tarver.

The fact remained Pavlik was a 4-1 favorite over hopkins. People actually feared for hopkins health (lots of people predicting Hopkins would finally get KO'd and sent into retirement). Not too mention hopkins was 43 and Pavlik was 26.

Pavlik losing to hopkins obviously effected him mentally, which occurs often to undefeated fights.

how much weight did he have to put on?

                    4 pounds.
Further, Pavlik and his trainer, both stated 160 was getting difficult to make and planned on moving up in weight class after hopkins. Obviously, him losing made them reconsider. But Pavlik is a big middleweight and he wont be at 160 much longer. Pavlik & hopkins were practically identical twins on fight night:

the fact is a former welterweight champion is favoured to beat pavlik and already beat winky.
LOL, yeah a 6'3 former welterweight who is a freak of nature. I guarantee you if Pavlik never fought hopkins he would be favored over Williams.

that tells you how good of a win those two are.
Nah, just tells me you're hating on a man over 40 years of age who has accomplished more than most guys in the sport 10-15 years younger than him.

Boxing was on its way to building new stars, new superfights, and finally making a step for the future, and then it goes right back to this crap. I'm a hope fan of both fighters and I want them both gone from the sport. 41 year old vs a 45 year old is NOT a big fight, much less PPV.
