He wanted out of the ring against margarito and even more against pacman. Now he's going to fight yuri foreman at 154!! what a joke. This guy is the most protected fighter in the sport. If Cotto wasnt with Arum who is as good as it gets making fighters cotto would be just another fighter.
Are you for real? Cotto has faced basically all the top WW's out there, beat Mosley, KTFO Judah, fought Margarito who had brass knuckles on, and beat Clottey. NOt to mentioned he ****d Paulie. C'mon, give credit where credit is due. If anything, Arum ****ed Cotto by not pushing Cotto to fight Mayweather or P. Williams.

BTW, don't forget that he beat up Manny as well even though he loss, I haven't seen Manny beat up like that before.

      Let it go Jesus..

They know Cotto's a great fighter who took on any challenge presented to him..they're just racist pricks who are bitter that even tho Cotto has lost 2 fights he's still in better position than that ***** Margarito..

True Boxing fans know the deal..

his resume at 140 and 147 is pretty hard to top..and no matter how much they hate..nobody can deny that..

Woah slow down patna', why you getting all PMS'y about? you've always had a hardon for me since day one.

Are you honestly telling me that Shane during the time he fought Cotto was seen as a destructive fighter? the same Shane that had fought Collazo almost 10 months before and looked like an old ass declining fighter. Mosley was the perfect name for Cotto at the time, a future Hall of Famer that wanted to prove he still had it and that could give Cotto problems. And why are you bringing Margarito to this? I only said Cotto's first real test was when he was matched against him, a much tougher and bigger opponent than he's had in the past.

And as far as Shane beating the hell out of Tony, nobody expected Shane to pull that kind of performance, ilegal wraps or not. A mentally prepared and physically hydrated Margarito would of been a much different fight, go change your tampon now.

I wasn't even putting Cotto down, this fool is just trippin. I respect Cotto and there is no question that his resume at 147 has been nothing other than spectacular.

The vacant belt excuse is the only thing that still bothers me on here.

I'm not even going to waste time arguing about it. It's all bull****.

To me if you look at his resume at 147lbs and the time frame in which he fought those fighters to call him protected is crazy. Arum is very smart in choosing the fights for his fighters. Cotto vs Foreman makes perfect sense especially in NYC on teh PR day EVE. Foreman is from NYC and has some sort of follwoing there. Cotto will pack MSG it will be a great fight for BOXING. Foreman is not going to be a push over and Cotto should be able to do what he does best COME FORWARD. It all depends on how his mind state is after losing his dad. I lost my dad and it inspired me to do things I have been putting off and accomplish more in the past three months then I have in the past three years.

                Cotto's Resume at 147lbs

3/3/07 - Oktay Urkal 38-3 since retired loss to V. Harris (2) Cotto & Tszyu
6/9/07 - Zab Judah 34-4 (Former Udis WW Champ) since 4-2 loss to Mayweather, Cotto, Clottey, Baldomir, Spinks & Tszyu
                11/10/07 - Shane Mosley 44-4 (Former P4P #1) since 2-1 loss to Forrest (2) , Wright (2) & Cotto
4/12/08 - Alfonso Gomez - 18-3-2 (Busy Fight) since 3-1 loss to Cotto, Manfredo Jr, Feliciano, Ishe Smith
7/26/08 - Antonio Margarito 36-5 (Former WW Champion) since 0-1 Loss to Mosley, P Williams, D Santos, R Jones, V Lozoya

11/14/09 - Manny Pacquiao 49-3 (P4P #1) since no fights loss to Erik Morales, Medgoen Singsurat & Rustico Torrecampo

NOW TELL ME HE IS PROTECTED!!!
the only two people he ever faced that were dangerous were margarito and pac and he quite like a ***** in both of them. now on to more careful matchmaking in yuri but wait he will be champ once again!! what a great champion we have in cotto!!

Miguel Cotto is the poster boy for what boxing should be- all business and all class. Any shortcomings he has had in the past are outweighed ten fold by the fact that he conducts himself like a real championship caliber boxer. Why anybody would want to throw spurs at the man that has given boxing great, no-bull**** fights for the past 5-6 years is beyond me.
